"Good Memory Care, Some Communication Lapses"
My mom stayed in memory care for a little over a year, and overall, it was a positive experience. The daily activities were great, her clothes were washed weekly, and the nurses and aides were kind. My only concern was communication about her health as dementia progressed. Caregivers should ask more questions over time. Dementia is tough on everyone.

"Overall, not a great experience."
I didn't like Danbury of Columbus during our tour. It wasn't very clean, had carpet stains, and smelled. The independent living rooms weren't deluxe, they lacked washers and dryers. The location wasn't great, and residents couldn't walk to places. Overall, it felt old and depressing. Even three months after Christmas, they still had all their holiday decorations out.

"Dad Loves Danbury: Best Decision for Our Family"
When our dad was diagnosed with dementia, we knew he needed more activities and help. We did a lot of research, visits, phone calls, and read reviews. We toured 5 places with dad, and he chose Danbury! It was our choice too, but it had to be his decision. After living in his home for over 50 years, we worried the move would be hard, but the staff at Danbury is very caring to new residents. Dad made friends right away, he joins in daily activities (he loves chair volleyball, who knew?), and he even gets others to join in the fun. He often says, "I keep looking and I can't find anything wrong with this place." We can't say enough good things about the caring staff. Our only regret is not encouraging this sooner.

"Friendly Staff, Aging Facility, Budget-Friendly Location"
The staff is great, but the place looks a bit old. Good for budget-conscious folks.
