"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Decor"
The staff was wonderful, but the interior decor fell short.

"Friendly staff and beautiful views, but facing staffing issues"
This place is clean and beautiful with nice views of nature and the park. The people are friendly, but they're having trouble with staffing like many places right now. The administration staff have been very helpful and available through it all. The tour was great, and I saw everything I needed and got all the information I wanted.

"Great care despite pandemic; staff exceeds expectations"
It’s been a year since I last reviewed this place, and even with the pandemic, they still give amazing care! Any small problems with food were quickly fixed with an email. The responses from [name removed] (the healthcare RN), [name removed] (the administrator), [name removed] (the activity director), and [name removed] (community liaison), as well as the front desk staff and [name removed], have gone beyond what I expected. As a working RN myself, I understand the pandemic’s impact on group living, but this community has done a great job protecting and serving its residents and their families.

"Great job adapting!"
My mom stays at DRV. She really likes it there and has been doing well. The staff is super friendly, treating resident family members like part of the extended community. We all appreciate being able to have dinner with her in the dining room sometimes (COVID precautions, of course). I was impressed by how quickly management responded to the COVID pandemic to keep everyone safe. They had updated practices and policies even before the state announcements. Plus, I like how they adapt these policies to better meet residents’ needs. COVID has brought challenges, though. While some resident activities have restarted, overall, there seem to be fewer options. My suggestion: add more ‘safe’ activities to fill the gap left by the ‘unsafe’ ones that got removed.

"Highlights and Lowlights"
My parent stayed in this place for three months while they were recovering from something serious, and I have different thoughts about it. The people who work in the office were really nice and friendly. They seemed to really care about the people living there and they knew them well. They acted fast when there were problems with taking care of people. The person in charge of the nurses was really good and checked in regularly. The people who worked on the floor had a lot of rooms to take care of, so sometimes it was hard to find them when we needed help. The food was the worst part - a lot of the meals were cooked too much and were really soggy. They didn't look good at all. The snacks you could order were very limited too. Because of this, it was hard for my parent to keep their weight up. We talked about this a few times with the people in charge, but things didn't get better. For how much it cost, I thought the experience would be better. If we need this kind of care again, we'll probably look somewhere else.

"Headline: [Nice Visit, Not the Right Fit]"
I visited this community recently for my dad, and it was a nice experience. The staff arrived on time for our appointment and patiently answered our questions. The floor plan had great amenities, but ultimately, it wasn’t the right fit for him.
