"Minor lapses leading to Major Issues at Assisted Living Facility"
Firstly, I want to say that the helpers at this place did a fine job. However, we faced major problems with a certain nurse and the people in charge. On the very first night, they didn't switch on my mom's alarm button, so she couldn't ask for any help. All through her stay at the facility, they didn't give her medicine the right way, causing her health to get so bad that she couldn't even eat on her own. The most unfair part was when we had to take her away from the place, but they kept taking money from my dad's account. They expected him to pay up even though my mom hadn't been there for over a month.

"Familiar Faces Make It an Okay Place"
It's an okay place. If your loved one is more active and likes going to group events, other places might keep them more engaged. We had a hard time getting my loved one to think about assisted living. Then one day he said if he had to go, he would only consider this place because he knew several of the residents.

"Positive Atmosphere with Staffing and Care Challenges"
This place is nice with friendly staff. Care is good to some extent. Your loved one should lean towards independence rather than needing assistance. We often had to follow up on their care. Staff shortage due to the pandemic is noticeable. Sometimes, my loved one had to go to the hospital instead of receiving suitable care here due to memory needs. Care levels range from 1 to 6 but seem inconsistent after multiple evaluations. Monthly fee covers room, meals, transport, and cleaning, including weekly deep cleaning. The large awning out front is beautiful.

"Elmcroft: Cozy but Compact"
We visited Elmcroft on Ontario, and it was a pleasant place, but quite small.
