"Mishandled patient; lack of communication and professional conduct."

The last six months at Forest Hills Place have been a nightmare for my family due to the incredibly unprofessional behavior, lack of empathy, and terrible communication skills of one particular supervisor, whose name I won't mention here. She knows who she is and so does the management at Forest Hills. Despite how challenging dealing with my relatives might be sometimes, she's the one who's expected to handle situations professionally. However, her only solution was to kick out my family member within half a year, suggesting that they should go to a shelter. She offered no help, no care plan, no family meeting. When I tried to seek dialogue three times, she disregarded my requests. When I insisted on a meeting, she rudely turned it down. I'm writing this review with the hope that her superiors see this and address her manner of treating patients and their families.

"Disappointing Experience at Forest Hills Place Assisted Living"

Forest Hills Place wasn't what we hoped for. My dad's health declined while he was there. They promised activities, but he spent most of his time alone in his room. Meals he liked were never provided as they said. Dad didn't enjoy his stay. His things kept disappearing. As his dementia worsened, he was moved to a locked unit, feeling abandoned. Weekends were especially lonely with no staff around. Other residents shared similar complaints. They blamed staff shortages but still demanded payments. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who cares about family.

"Negligence and Lower Standards: A Personal Story from Forest Hills"

I'd tell nobody to ever go there. My sister sadly ended up there because it was close to her grandson's home. We could never find staff when we needed them. They'd ask my sister if she wanted a shower, but when she said no, they didn't offer alternatives like a sponge bath. We had to take my sister to the University Hospital emergency room because she fell in the hallway and got really hurt. They moved her to a part of the building focused on memory care, despite never testing her. It was just a large room on the first floor with a roaring TV or radio and one person supervising all the residents. They didn't allow the residents to stay in their rooms during daytime. We never took my sister back there; we moved her to a different place instead. She was so weak by the time she arrived that we lost her shortly after. I would never suggest Forest Hills to anyone. The decision to put her there wasn't mine; it was her grandson's because of its nearness to his place. Though I knew the place was valuable before, I'm glad now its importance is being recognized. I had chatted with an employee who worked there before the pandemic. It was a completely different place back then. Now, I wouldn't wish for anyone to put a family member there.

"Not Very Impressive"

Our family visited the assisted living facility in person, and it was okay. However, we weren't very impressed overall.

"Inconsistent staffing, rising rates, declining service; considering leaving."

My relative came here a year ago. Staff changes a lot, like they're temporary. Rates went up twice in six months by 8%. Service is getting worse. Might have to leave if it doesn't improve!

"Forest Hills: Engaging Activities, Room for Improvement"

Our family visited Forest Hills in person. They’re great at getting residents involved in activities, but cleanliness could be better.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"

This place isn't doing what it's supposed to. They're short-staffed, especially on weekends. My family member with dementia is often left alone. Communication with the staff is terrible - it takes multiple calls or emails to get a response. When I voice concerns, they blame it on the patient instead of addressing the issues.

"Rooms too small for comfort."

I didn't like the tiny rooms.

"Communication and Professionalism Lacking at Assisted Living Facility"

The experience could have been better. They didn't communicate well and lacked professionalism. Some nursing staff were uncommunicative. When Mom went to the hospital, they didn't tell us they discharged her, leaving us without a place for her. They kept charging us for her room even though she only stayed two weeks. We were very unhappy with their services.

"Poor Staffing and Theft Issues at Forest Hills Place"

I suggest you don't consider Forest Hills Place. The residents' belongings tend to get stolen. They bring in a different worker every day, and it looks like they don't have enough people to help the folks living here.

"Poor care, late meds, no response—avoid this place."

This place is not good. Staff don't help or care. Medications late. Director ignores complaints. Dissatisfactory experience. Not recommended.

"Friendly Staff and Helpful Advice"

We liked Forest Hills, but it had multiple floors. We preferred a single-floor facility. The staff was friendly and even checked on my mom after she moved elsewhere.
