Liberty Residence II

"Mixed Experience"
Liberty Residence is like most Assisted Living places. The food isn’t great, but the staff tries to be friendly. They’re a bit understaffed, and the room sizes are okay. The location matters to us.

"Avoid Liberty Residence II: Poor Management, Staffing, and Care Provided"
Don't trust Liberty Residence II with your loved ones. This place just isn't fit. The management is awful; they clearly put no effort into caring for their staff or the type of people they let live there. Some of the residents there need more care than this place can provide. They should be in a nursing home that can better meet their needs. The food here is terrible and not served at the right temperature. It arrives ice cold sometimes! The cleanliness is another big issue. The dining room is always dirty and the furniture at the main entrance is old and uncomfortable. You can tell that professional care isn't provided because the residents aren't cared for as they should be. It's upsetting to hear the staff talking negatively about the residents and each other in a way that everyone can hear. The living areas aren't kept clean either. I can tell you from personal experience that it's not a pleasant place to be, as I had a family member stay there. Continual shortage of staff is a regular complaint. It's clear that no one wants any part in working there. Oh, and don't expect any meaningful activities for the residents. Most of the time, they don't have anything to do at night. What activities are provided don't stimulate or engage the residents, especially those with dementia. They advertise a 'walking club,' but it's a sham. They've only put it out there to create an appearance of having activities. Residents end up sleeping all day in the front of the building because they're not kept active. Don't be fooled, the management here doesn't care about your loved ones. They're all pretense. Please, I urge you not to consider Liberty Residence II for your family members. Save your money, and more importantly, your loved ones' wellbeing. Find them a better place elsewhere.

""Bad Management and Poor Conditions at Assisted Living Facility""
If you're okay with bedbugs and money-minded staff, this is the place for you. The director hid the bedbugs issue from everyone for weeks. The place's kitchen didn't pass the health department check in 2018. The director doesn't let staff reach out to the corporate office about problems. She gossips about staff members to others, which is very unprofessional. Staff numbers are low because of the facility's poor reputation. Staff are not treated properly and the management fosters a negative environment. Get out of there!

"Terrible Service and Food at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff is absolutely dreadful, except for one person! The meals they serve are horribly unappetizing and there's no entertainment after dinner, which causes the residents to just sleep all day. Often, my mother and others are left in a TV room with nothing to do, since the TV isn't even on. Staff shortage seems to be a major issue here; my mother is left waiting for ages for her call light to be answered.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
My dad and I toured this community. Overall, it was good. The place looked neat and tidy, the staff was friendly, and they answered our questions. It was pleasant, but it felt too hectic for my dad, and he wasn't comfortable there.

"Positive tour experience, not ideal for my mother's needs."
I had a good tour of this place. The staff were punctual and answered all our questions thoroughly. The facility was well-kept with many amenities. However, it wasn't the right fit for my mother.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
We visited this place while searching for a home for our elderly family member. Sadly, from what I observed during our visit, I cannot suggest this place. The staff appeared nice, but the building wasn't tidy and smelled bad.

"Great care, some staff changes"
We had our loved one in this facility for many years before we moved her to be closer to family. They did an excellent job overall! Right when we were leaving, they changed from a family-owned business to being bought by a corporation. There was some staff turnover, which might have gotten better as the staff got used to their new routines.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Assisted Living Visit: Clean Facility, Limited Outdoor Space"
My second visit was Liberty I, as suggested by Bev for Dad's independent living. I disagree about the suitability. Extra help comes at a cost, almost equaling Liberty II. The place was tidy, but lacked ample outdoor space, which Dad, from a farm, would dearly miss.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Clean, Active, Mixed Impressions on Residents"
My sister and Mom really liked this place a lot. There were some problems with people sitting in the lobby with their heads hanging down. Mom thought they seemed drugged or something. Overall, we thought the place looked very clean, with lots of activities to do. The rooms were nice, and the price was just okay.
