"Poorly guided visit and no cost clarification at aging facility"
There wasn't any informed guide present for our planned visit. The facility's pamphlet doesn't assist in learning about service costs at all. It's an outdated place with dim and tight corridors without a central AC system.

"Friendly and Clean Facility!"
I visited this community for a tour, and I don't have any complaints. The staff were super friendly and punctual for our appointment. They knew a lot about their facility and provided great information, answering all our questions. Everything was clean and well-maintained, but unfortunately, it wasn't the right location for my mother.

"Friendly Staff and Affordable Options in Assisted Living Facility"
I liked visiting this place with my aunt. Everyone was friendly and took their time showing us around. It was a bit pricey for us, but I appreciated knowing they accept Medicaid after two years. I would recommend it to anyone considering assisted living.

"Great Staff and Activities, Highly Recommend"
My sister is doing well here. She has adjusted nicely, and I'm happy. The staff is lovely and takes good care of her. The community looks great, and they keep everything clean. There are activities for the residents, and she likes the meals. I know she is comfortable here, and I would highly recommend it.

"Facility Needs Improvement: Dingy Appearance, Friendly Staff, Decent Food"
The workers were nice, and the food at lunch was tasty. But the building seemed old and not well-kept. I don't know how they could make it look less like a nursing home, but the hallways felt very much like one.

"Assisted Living Place Needs More Staff"
My folks are doing okay in this place for the most part. My prime worry about this community is its lack of sufficient staff. I feel like the elderly folk here can't receive the right care due to the staff shortage. They should recruit more caregivers. This way, every resident can receive top-notch care and equal attention.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living: Some Good, Some Bad"
We don't really like it, but it's not the worst. At first, it was hard to talk to them about prices for laundry. They charge extra for more than two loads a week. We've had to remind them to change the linens. Most of the helpers aren't great; they're not friendly and seem unhappy. But a few are fantastic. We picked this place because it's close and because they'll switch to Medicare after a couple of years. They have a small exercise area, but it's not easy for older people to use. The workout program isn't challenging enough.

"An Adequate Home Close By with Room for Improvement"
We're not super thrilled with this place, but it's nearby and not the worst we've seen. The first month was tough; we had a hard time getting them to cooperate. There was confusion over laundry fees, how much a load was, and the frequency, with an extra $10 charge for more than two loads per week. We've had to constantly remind them about changing the linens. Most of the aides aren't great, they have bad attitudes. Quite a few seem unhappy and won't even make eye contact. There are a couple that are just awesome, we wish they all could be like those two. We picked this place mainly for its location, and that after a couple of years they transfer to medicare. They've got a small exercise area with three stationary bikes, but they aren't very user-friendly for older folks. They do offer an exercise program, but my dad says it's not challenging enough. They could definitely step it up.

"Dissatisfied with Unaware Staff and weekend tour Refusal"
We showed up for our planned visit, but the person at the desk didn't even know we were coming. She told us they don't do tours on Sundays. (Uh, why not?) Didn't see any other employees around either. The woman at the front called someone named Dena and told her, "There's a dude here with a woman who wants a tour." That woman is my wife! Looks like this spot is a no go for us.

"Poor Communication and Lack of Respect at Assisted Living Facility"
Went to take a tour we’d arranged, but the woman at the front desk didn’t know we were coming. She even said they don't do tours on Sundays. Which is weird, right? Didn't see any other employees around. The front desk lady called someone named Dena, telling her a "gentleman and his lady friend” were there for a tour. The so-called "lady friend" is my wife, mind you. Based on all this, we’re not even considering moving into this place.

"Food Concerns at Oakleaf Village"
Overall, we're really happy with Oakleaf Village. It looks nice, the staff are friendly, and they offer lots of fun activities. But the food quality has dropped since my loved one moved in—sometimes it's served cold, and they run out of basics like butter and ice cream.
