Powell Assisted Living & Memory Care

"Beautiful place with good food but inconsistent care"
The place is as good or better than most, from what I've heard about other places. It is a beautiful facility with delicious food options (though my mom, who had celiac disease and no appetite, ate very little during her time there), and there are many activities. It was an up-and-down experience because of a few really bad caregivers and mix-ups with her gluten-free diet.

"Mixed Feelings About StoryPoint Assisted Living Facility"
StoryPoint is a pretty place in a good spot. It's become like a second home for our mom. We're lucky we live close by, so we get to visit her often and chat with the staff and other folks who live there. The care is okay, but some staff members do better than others. It's tough when there aren't enough people working. The food isn't great either. Lots of residents complain that it's not cooked right, cold, or just not good to eat. We've seen it happen too. They say they're trying to make things better, and they have made some changes, but it's still not quite there. Older folks need special food that's easy to eat, but that's not always what they get. It's sad when mealtime, which should be nice, leaves people hungry or upset. There are activities to do, but it would be nice to have more options. And it costs a lot each month for what you get.
