"Deceptive lease, decent staff; not worth it."
Moving here feels like making a pact with bad consequences. Helpful staff, unfair lease.

"Best Memory Unit and Friendly Staff"
We picked StoryPoint Troy because it was the only place we saw with a memory unit that didn't feel like a nursing home. It was the best one we checked out. They have activities to keep the residents busy and involved. I think no place is perfect, but that's just our healthcare system. Overall, it was a very good experience. The staff are friendly and helpful.

"Food Orders Need Improvement"
Most of my experience has been okay. Please ask the cooks to look at the whole order and read it right.

"Inconsistent care and communication issues"
During my mom's three-month stay, some days were great, but others were not. Like everywhere, they are understaffed and can only do so much. On bad days, she didn't get showered when she was supposed to. I know she can refuse, but in memory care, there are ways around that. If she didn't want to do something, they wouldn't try to convince her. Some caretakers were good, but some were not-so-good. Communication was poor—if I didn't ask questions, I wasn't told anything. When I brought up issues, they responded, but it always took a while.

"Understaffed Assisted Living with Unhealthy Meals"
The assisted living facility lacks assistance on weekends, infrequent management visits, and understaffed night caregivers. The meals are unhealthy, with excessive salt and cheese, and oddly seasoned—like the peanut butter pie.

"Caring but costly: Be cautious with lease terms."
It's a good place, but if your loved one passes away there, you still have to keep paying until their lease ends or their unit gets rented out. And if they're in memory care, you have to notify them 30 days in advance, which seems pretty heartless and greedy to me. How can you predict when someone will die 30 days beforehand? But overall, the place is nice, and most of the staff are good.

"Nice-looking place, but short-staffed and lacking in care"
My mom stayed at this place for 8 days because she had cancer and couldn't live on her own anymore. The people at StoryPoint promised us they would give her more care if she needed it. That didn't really happen, though. On the last day she was there, the help she got was the same as the first day, even though we asked them to do more for her. So, make sure your loved one gets the help they need. The place looks nice, but don't be fooled. They don't have enough people working there - only one nurse and three helpers at night, and not many more during the day. We paid $6800 for 8 days and the care she got was not good enough. The workers tried their best, but they didn't have enough people.

"Great place to live with caring, friendly staff"
I feel the caring people at Storypoint listened to us. They addressed concerns and made changes promptly. The accounting staff corrected account information quickly. It's a beautiful place, great for those unable to live alone. The staff is very friendly, which is important.

"Top-Notch Assisted Living: A Home Away From Home"
This place was so great that if we could've moved it closer to family, we would've done it in a heartbeat! It's only a year old, so everything still feels brand new and looks amazing. The staff was super friendly and really nice. We loved pretty much everything about it, except for one thing - it's a bit far from family.

"Closet and Washer Woes at Assisted Living"
The staff is friendly, and the rooms are spacious and comfy. However, the closet design is inconvenient, and the washer/dryer setup lacks space for essentials like soap.

"Cozy Assisted Living with Friendly Staff and Generous Portions"
This place is really nice. It's quiet, and the people who work here are super friendly. The stuff they have us do for fun isn't really my thing, but it's fine. The food in the kitchen is good, but they always give me too much! I really like my neighbors; they're always so nice to me.
