"Mixed Feelings at Poland Village"
My mom’s been living at Poland Village for a year plus. Recently, it’s been kinda rough. Here’s the good stuff: The folks running the activities are awesome. They really care and work hard every day. They’re like the shining stars of this place. They let you have a pet if it’s good and trained. The place looks nice, like a real home. And the rooms are a good size. But here’s what’s not so great: A lot of mornings, we’re waiting hours for help 'cause there aren’t enough staff. The food’s not as good as before. People aren’t happy with how much they get, especially the meat—it’s mostly sandwiches now. Showers aren’t happening when they should, and sometimes the water’s cold. The cook even had to help my mom shower a couple of times after she missed a week. The nurses have to give out nighttime meds early so they can head out by 7:30 pm. We’ve told the bosses, but nothing’s changed.

"Great find thanks to your company, convenient and pleasant environment!"
We hadn't looked into this place before, but your company pointed it out to us. It was one of the few places with an available spot at that time. Wickshire is nice to look at and in a good location. My mom's room was nice especially compared to the brown walls and bedspread clean, and pretty big the other bed was empty. There were lots of activities she could have done. Most importantly, thank you for helping us find this place because we were really stressed out when you came through.

"Inconsistent Care and Unresolved Incidents at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff at the facility were kind, and some employees really put in the extra effort to do their jobs right. However, my mother-in-law had a fall that resulted in a broken arm, and she had to wait two days before receiving medical attention. There was no follow-up investigation into her injuries, and no one could explain how the incident occurred. Considering she needed assistance to stand, it's puzzling that no one knew what happened. We were in the middle of relocating her when she sadly passed away. If your loved one requires medical assistance or care, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. While some staff members treated her like family, others seemed to just be going through the motions. Overall, I can't help but have a negative impression of the facility.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Satisfactory Care, Room for Menu Equality Improvement"
We're pleased and thankful that our friend with dementia is well cared for here. The facility's proximity is a plus. They assisted well with settling our friend, and the staff is friendly, caring, and encouraging. There seems to be enough staff for resident needs and activities. One suggestion for improvement: a nurse mentioned that memory care residents receive fewer dessert, snack, and meal options compared to assisted living residents, despite higher costs for memory care.

"Responsive Staff and Comfortable Living Environment"
The staff and people here are really nice. Whenever our family has questions or concerns, they respond quickly. They serve three meals every day, and you get to pick what you want to eat. The staff can do the laundry for the residents. They also help with managing medications, dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene.

"Expensive but Beautiful"
This place cost too much for my loved one and me. It’s a beautiful, large community.”

"Decent Facility with Room for Improvement"
This place is pretty decent. You’ll find that some of the workers are super helpful, while others are just okay. They do a good job keeping the main areas clean, but the rooms where people live could use a bit more scrubbing. They talk to our families quite well. But, we’ve been trying to get a detailed bill for a while now and still haven’t gotten it. The monthly cost changes a lot, and we really want to know what we’re paying for. But all in all, I’d tell my friends and family they should consider it.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I wouldn't suggest this place for your loved ones. My family member had a fall, but the community didn't act quickly to send them to the hospital. They also didn't keep us informed about what happened. We had to keep asking for updates and push for them to get medical help. It turns out my family member actually broke a bone. If your loved one doesn't need much medical help, they might be okay here. There are some really good staff members at this place.

"Accepted then rejected at Wickshire Poland due to known issue"
I was initially impressed with Wickshire Poland during our tour. We went through a lot of forms so my family member could get accepted there. I made sure they knew all her health issues. They even did their own check and said they could care for her. But when moving day arrived, they turned us around because she had a leg injury, which they knew about all along.

"Mixed Feelings"
Our family visited the assisted living facility in person. The tour was okay, but we were concerned about it being two stories. .

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Great Dining Options"
I suggest checking out this community. It's a nice place and could be perfect for the right person. They offer meal choices, and the meal staff really go out of their way to help the residents. The administration also does a great job with families.
