"Mixed Experience at The Ashford on Broad"

My family member used to live at The Ashford on Broad. There weren't enough staff, which caused many problems. The building maintenance was poor, and they lacked an activities person for a long time. Overall, it didn't meet my expectations.

"Improving assisted living facility with room for cleanliness improvement."

We chose this place for its location and all-inclusive features. It's improving but needs cleaner rooms. Staff mostly friendly. Loved one enjoys food. Overall, okay. Recommended for families. Responsive to issues.

"Swift Change Needed: Once Cherished Facility Now Neglectful and Underserviced"

Right now, I'd immediately move my Mom or Dad out if I could! This place used to be decent, but in just one year it's totally fallen apart. The management and staff can't stick around, and it's obvious. My own folks haven't seen proper care in all the time they've been here, even though that's what we're paying big bucks for. I should be getting a paycheck for all the work I put in every day when I visit! They claim they do the laundry, but it's me who has to handle my parent's dirty clothes each day because they prefer it. And let me tell ya, I need to do laundry EVERY DAY. More often than not, my parent's clothes and seat are soiled because there's no one there to help them in time. The place used to run activities regularly--now I have serious doubts if they even have an activity director. Well, if they do, they're pretty much freeloading on the job! I've kept my cool with this place for long, but my patience is running wafer-thin. I truly believe they need to groom the management with reliable, understanding, and well-versed professionals, and the same goes for the rest of the staff!

"Good, but Needs Improvement"

This place is better than most, but it has some problems. There’s a lot of changes with the director and staff, and they don’t have enough workers. Also, the monthly fee went up even in the first year.

"Smaller Setting Not Ideal for Dad, but Nice Community Overall"

I toured this community, and it was pleasant. We were seeking a smaller place for dad, so it wasn't the perfect match for us.

"Attention Needed: Assisted Living Review"

We had some communication issues at first, and not everything got done right away. They seem understaffed, especially on weekends. But they're making an effort and addressing my concerns. As a resident or family member, you need to stay vigilant. The cost is similar to other places we considered.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility During COVID Restrictions"

The lobby looks nice, but COVID rules keep us stuck there. We're disappointed with the care. We were promised level 2 nursing care for our loved one, but after they hiked up the prices, we found out it's just help with her medicine. Because of COVID, they eat in their rooms a lot, and the food is often cold. There are some activities, but they didn't encourage our loved one to join. Overall, we're not happy with the place.

"Mixed Impressions at The Ashford"

Before COVID, The Ashford community had movie nights and Bible studies. We liked its affordability and central location, and the community looks nice. The Ashford is spacious with an open concept and lots of natural light. They offer various floor plans, which we appreciated. However, our loved one wasn't a fan of the food, though we found it decent overall.
