"Assisted Living Staff Shortage Puts Residents at Risk"
The part where you can live by yourself is pretty good, and the care is fine. But don't even think about the part where they help you more. There aren't enough people working there! It takes more than 2 hours for someone to come when you need help in an emergency. This could be really serious, like life or death serious, if they don't come quickly.

"Good experience so far, still learning and adjusting to changes"
Rating things can be tough, especially since I haven't visited in person. I stay involved by talking to my sister often and have had some helpful phone calls with the staff. My other sister also visited and felt good about the place. This whole situation is new to us, so we're still figuring things out. Nothing is perfect, so I can't give a "5" yet, but I'm happy with a solid "4" or maybe even a little more.

"Mixed Feelings about Expensive Assisted Living Community"
This place was alright, but it cost a lot more than other places. It didn't have as many fun things to do compared to another place I checked out, and it was farther away too. It wasn't terrible, but there was another place that suited my loved one better.

"Awful Treatment and Deceit at Local Assisted Living Facility"
My grandma was at this assisted living facility for rehab after hospitalization. My family and I have never been so poorly treated. One morning, a nurse called saying they found her on the floor out of her bed, even though her bed had rails. They told us she was avoiding her physical therapy. They insisted we move her out since Medicare wasn't covering her stay anymore. The social worker and nurse manager, who I won't name for privacy, were strangely harsh. They yelled at us on the phone and interrupted us. One of them even lied about a previous conversation with my grandma. They said if we didn't have a plan by the time they were discharging her, we'd have to pay a full month's rent, even if she was only there a few extra days. Eventually, they claimed they would pay us back for any unused days, but we couldn't afford to front that kind of cash. They told our home health nurse that Grandma needed to be lifted by two people and wore adult diapers. But once Grandma got home, she walked to the bathroom with assistance and had no incontinence problems at all. I think they just wanted the Medicare payments and didn't care about her treatments. My family and I would never suggest this facility to anyone.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement, Fun Activities"
My family member stays at the Forum for assisted living. It's not very clean and the care isn't enough. The apartment always smells bad. We try to clean it and ask the staff for help, but they don't assist. The apartment stays dirty and smelly. They wash clothes, but we often don't get them back. Instead of cleaning the bathroom properly, they just wipe here and there quickly with a Clorox wipe and leave. I don't suggest this place if your family member needs a lot of help. We're looking into other places to live. The independent living area might be okay since residents can do more for themselves and are more aware. On the bright side, the activities they offer are enjoyable and engaging. Overall, the staff seem friendly from what I've seen.

"Subpar Care and Delayed Therapy Frustrate Elderly Mother's Family"
Our mom didn't get the care we expected here. We assumed she would get constant attention, but she was often left alone in her apartment. Therapy sessions didn't start on time, although we understand that was partly because of holidays. Anyway, now she's back home receiving 24-hour care and she's much happier.

"Costly but Friendly Assisted Living Facility"
The facility is great, staff are friendly, and there are lots of activities. However, it's too expensive for my parents' budget.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Medical Care and Compassion"
My dad got paired with someone who wasn't right for him, and it made for a rough night. He had to wait forever for help to use the bathroom, and they didn't seem to care much about his needs. It stressed him out so much we had to take him back to the hospital. The nurses there couldn't believe how much he'd deteriorated in just two days. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. It might look nice and serve good food, but if you need real medical help, look elsewhere. And the way the nurses treated us when we decided to transfer him was terrible. They acted like we were bothering them and just wanted us to leave. They need to learn some empathy. They'll be in the same boat one day, and I hope they get treated as poorly as they treated my dad.
