"Great value with caring staff, but housekeeping and food options need improvement"

This is a great place for the price. Be sure to stay involved and active. The staff is kind and caring, and they are very welcoming and honest. It’s a nice place overall, but I’d like to see the housekeeping improve in my dad’s room. Also, my dad would like more food options.

"Disappointing Experience: Not Ideal for Loved Ones"

If you can't be there every day, it's best to keep checking in on your loved one at this place. I always have to remind the staff about things. Only consider this place if you have no other options. The food is terrible; once my loved one got a grilled cheese sandwich with no cheese. I believe they try to attract people with low prices, but the service is really bad.

"Friendly Staff and Beautiful Grounds"

The community has nice staff who are ready to help you find the right level of care for your loved one. The place looks great. Talking with the staff is easy, and they give you a way to talk directly to the head nurse. They also send me pictures of my loved one joining in on activities. They help with giving out medicine too.

"Overall positive experience."

The facility struggled with my loved one's needs due to limited staff. Still, it's a great place for more independent residents. I recommend it.

"Friendly staff, close, good price, nice layout, music entertainment"

We picked The Glendale because the staff is super friendly and it’s close by. My sister has a shared room, which makes it cheaper and is good for two people. The layout is nice, and my sister loves the person who comes in to play music for the residents. I would recommend it to others.

"Subpar Care and Ignored Needs at Assisted Living Facility"

This place doesn't treat its residents well. They didn't care for my family member properly, and they weren't following the right steps. Even after we told them multiple times, they still didn’t provide what she needed to eat. I wouldn't tell other people to bring their families here. I finally complained to their boss, and they gave our money back for the last month we were there.

"Advocate for Your Loved Ones in This Facility"

I think it's important for others to know that you have to be your loved one's advocate in this facility. They had trouble getting my mom the right medications, so we had to double-check that she was actually receiving them. Staying on top of things was necessary most of the time, so just make sure you pay attention. Right now, I wouldn't recommend it.

"Positive Experience with Good Care and Spacious Rooms"

The facility did well caring for my mom during her respite stay. Her double room was spacious, and there was ample outdoor space for residents. Overall, it was a positive experience.

"Troubling Care and Staff Issues at Assisted Living Facility"

If you can't take care of yourself, or if you don't have a family member who can be with you every day, you shouldn't expect good care here. The staff aren't certified aides, and some of the nurses have bad attitudes. Patients don't get checked on regularly, and if you need help with your care, you're out of luck. I've seen this personally. If Hospice hadn't stepped in, my loved one would have received practically no care. Some of the staff make you question their motives, and my loved one was scared of a few of them. If you need a staff member, it's tough to find one. They're understaffed and some of their employees seem sketchy. There are lots of empty rooms here, which really says something about the place.

"Great Place for Loved Ones in Wheelchairs"

This place was really good, and we enjoyed it a lot. The staff was friendly and nice; they seemed very professional. The people living there looked happy and comfortable. I checked out the activities schedule, and there are a lot of things to do, but most are for people who can walk around easily. I just wished there were more activities suitable for my aunt, who uses a wheelchair.

"Nighttime Care and Friendly Staff"

At night, they require additional assistance. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility, Worth a Visit"

We checked out this place for our family's care. It's nice and clean, and the staff is caring. They offer good meals and activities. But it lacks coziness for enjoyment. Families should come see it for their loved ones' care.

"My Sister’s Transformation"

My sister moved into The Glendale. Before that, she was in respite care (which is a great concept to help caregivers). There are three of us siblings, and we take turns visiting her from time to time. She also has a son, daughter-in-law, and some grandchildren nearby. What I’ve noticed is a big change in her. She’s getting stronger, speaking better, and seems happier. All the staff members I’ve met have been really nice and helpful.

"Older facility with active residents, better for social seniors."

We checked out this place for my elderly family member. The Glendale seemed nice, with friendly residents and good reviews. But the building is older. Not the best fit for us, but great for social seniors.

"Lovely Assisted Living: Friendly Staff, Well-Kept Facilities!"

We went to check out this place for my family member's care. I gotta say, it looked really nice! It was one of our top picks when we were checking out places, and it ended up being our second favorite. The people who work there were all really nice, and the building itself was pretty and clean.

"Improved Meal Monitoring Needed"

Everything is okay here, and they're doing pretty well. I just wish they'd keep a closer eye on meals. They only check if residents miss one meal, but I think they should check for every meal and maybe even bring a tray if it's missed.

"Attentive staff, abundant activities, quick issue resolution. Great community."

This community's great. Staff's attentive, lots of activities, quick problem-solving.

"Kind hostess ms.wortketter, but facility doesn't satisfy Ray."

Ms. Wortketter is kind and welcoming, but the assisted living home doesn't quite match up to how Ray likes and needs things to be.

"A mixed experience in assisted living"

This review might not be totally fair. My sister only stayed there for three days. She felt really sad and didn't feel like she fit in, so a family friend offered to take care of her with the help of hospice. We were hoping she'd get better after being in hospice care before. The staff was super nice and helpful, but the other people living there were really sad. My sister was way more advanced than them, and we were worried she'd go backward. Sadly, my first impression of this place was right: it made us feel sad.

"Good care at Glendale, though it wasn't mom's first choice"

"My mother has been at the Glendale since February. Even though this isn't what she wanted, we needed her to be safe. I've seen that she's getting good care and have talked to other residents who also feel they are well cared for."

"High cost and no cheer. Studio with no kitchen."

Really grim. Studio apartment costs $3100. No cooking accommodations. There's also a first-time fee of $500.

"Complex Layout, Questionable Staff at Living Facility"

Right when you step inside, you’re in the main hangout area where everyone’s watching TV, and it’s super crowded. There’s also this weird eight-sided room, and from there, you can go to four different hallways. It’s pretty tricky to figure out where everything is, and I bet it’s easy to get mixed up trying to find your room. The people working there didn’t really make the best impression. A few of them didn’t have all their teeth, looked messy, and didn’t seem too happy to be there. There was also someone older working. They said things would look better after fixing up the place, but having good staff matters a lot to me.

"Great Director, Clean Place, Thriving Environment"

The director was awesome, and the place was really clean. There were lots of activities to do there, and the rooms were nice. It seemed like a place where Mom could thrive with the interaction of caregivers and others.
