"Bad treatment at Sylvania Lakes, not for dependent individuals"
Last week, I thought this place was good. It definitely looks fine on the outside...but the important stuff is on the inside. I can't believe how they treated my grandma today. They didn't care about her at all. I'm really upset. Don't go here if you or your family member ACTUALLY NEEDS HELP. If you or your family member can take care of themselves, then Sylvania Lakes is happy to take your cash.

"Cleanliness Needs Improvement"
My main issue is with how clean the place is. After moving in, the rooms aren't maintained properly.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Experience"
We didn't like the facility. They didn't have enough staff, which made it hard for us to adjust. We had to find different care. The staff didn't seem to understand what our family members needed. They could have handled the situation more professionally.

"Quality of Care Doesn't Match Price Tag at Assisted Living"
The rooms are really tiny. There's no lounge in each wing for residents with mobility issues to gather and socialize. When my dad wandered out in the hall, they quickly redirected him to his room. The dining service was very slow. Often, my dad had to wait 45 minutes for his food. This could be fixed by letting residents order their food a meal ahead and providing a choice of two entrees instead of just one main entree and a la carte. The food and care didn't match the $8,000 a month price.
