"Mixed Feelings About Care and Engagement at Assisted Living Facility"
The nursing care was lacking. Food often displeased her. She felt uninformed, wished staff were more proactive. She paid for more care than received. Overall recommended with adjustments needed.

"Needs Improvement: The Wellington Memory Care"
The Wellington didn’t really wow me. The part where they take care of people with memory issues seemed tired and worn out, like it could use some fixing up. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted with furniture that’s seen better days, and it just doesn’t feel welcoming or right to me.

"Affordable but sparse meals; pricey for family budget."
Our family visited the place in person, but it was a bit too costly for us, and they only provided one meal per day.

"The Wellington at North Bend Crossing was almost like family"
It seemed that my dad would never go to a senior home. However his health was changing, and so where his needs. My mom had passed some years ago. Out of 6 children 2 lived out of town and the rest of us had full time jobs. He needed attention and most importantly interaction with his peers. His doctor had been speaking with him in a very frank manner, and with tears in his eyes he agreed “It was time”. The Wellington was perfect for him. He was able to just take his furniture and make his own living space. He made new friends in his new environment. Amazingly there were people he knew either through church, or bowling leagues, or work. The staff was an amazing and caring group of people. Walking in the door to visit they recognize me and if he and I go out - they are quick to give a parting pleasantry. He got all of his medicines without complication. The meals were enjoyable for him. Tons of choices were offered. The family could join him for meals at any time, he enjoyed that. Activities were offered, sometimes he felt like it, sometimes not, and that was fine. We were always kept informed by the staff, everything from medication changes, reaction, and meal habit changes was reported to us. The staff really did care. After several months, my dad's health began to decline, and he became surrounded by wonderful people. Everyone, whether they were a part of administration or aid, was checking up on him. Even the wonderful housekeeping staff was checking on him, they spent extra time with him and he loved it. He met so many great people at The Wellington who motivated him to be more engaged, to be more active, to smile more. As his health starting to deteriorate Hospice was able to come there. He wasn't required to leave, and my dad felt comfortable knowing that. His new neighbors were there for him, they prayed with him and were supportive of him in his final journey. The people that we came across there were compassionate, caring, sincere, and professional. He was in the best hands available, and I never worried about him after a visit. They were just like our own family.

"I advise you to look elsewhere"
****Definitely do not put loved ones here. The staff are inattentive and are on their phones instead of paying attention to the residents, this place needs a no cell phone policy. Don't believe the promises they make you when you sign the paperwork, we paid an initiation fee and my father was told he was not allowed back. He was not refunded the initiation fee even though we were told otherwise. Their corporate office is in Texas - onsite management takes zero accountability.

"Director's Dog and Rude Nursing Director Ruin Otherwise Good Facility"
Most of the caregivers here are stellar. But I gotta say, the Director doesn't deserve her title. She's always in her office, and when she finally turns up, her unleashed dog's racing around, almost tripping folks, including my mom. They let us bring pets in, but on a leash, and she ought to follow the rule too. Also, let me add, the Assistant Nursing Director is just awful and unpro. She should feel shame for how she badmouths her staff. I'd never let anyone jabber at me like that. This place looks good and could be better, but the bosses here need serious training. They haven't a clue about acting professional, respectful, or kind. That's a crying shame if you're thinking of sending your loved one here.

"Awful Assisted Living Facility Lacked Basic Care Standards"
The nurses at this assisted living facility are severely lacking. Even the hospice nurse doesn't exhibit care or effort. The director is always holed up in her office, relying on her team to keep her informed. There's a culture of defending each other even when they're in the wrong. I strongly advise not to admit loved ones here. There were numerous occasions when I found my mom in poor conditions. I had to clean her up myself. The employees would rather goof off at their desks than tend to the residents. Strictly avoid the memory care section. It seems they put troubled residents there until they pass away. It's awful. The place deserves to be closed down. Oh, and they have a bug problem. We moved mom out, and she's so much happier in her new place.

"Don't Fall for the Pretty Picture Painted by the Decor!"
Don't judge this place by its nice look. The memory care unit is poorly run. People who live there go in and out of others' rooms unchecked. They often get the wrong meds or the wrong amount of meds, or aren't taken off meds when the doctor says to. When something goes wrong, the staff just blames someone else, like the temp nurses who can't answer any questions other than I don't know, I just work here. Staff keep leaving and new ones keep coming in. And when you need help, there's no one to be found. They don't answer quickly when the emergency call button is pushed, or they don't answer at all. They never call the families back. They really don't do what they say they're going to do. And the price for all this? Nearly $6000 a month!!!

"Headline: "Proceed with Caution: Beautiful Facility, Neglectful Care""
The carer, whose name I won't mention, is terrible. If that's who's looking after your loved one, you better take them out of there. They'd be safer outside the premises. The person in charge is unmotivated, and the uncompassionate administrator provided no assistance, plus there was foul language used. The facility itself is appealing, but the staff lack empathy. They are constantly understaffed.

"Renaissance West -- What a great place for mom!"
My dad took care of my mom. When he passed away suddenly, we had to quickly find a place for her. We toured one other assisted living facility before visiting Renaissance. As soon as we walked in, we knew this was the right place for her. Her apartment is big, clean, and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and caring. The common areas feel very home-like. Visitors sign in when they arrive, and the facility is secured at night. Mom is happy and has adjusted very well. Our whole family is pleased with Renaissance!

"A Recommendable Place"
The place looks nice and is pretty clean. The staff is friendly, but they could improve communication with families about care plans. Overall, it's a good place, and I'd recommend it. My mom enjoys the food, and the value for the services is pretty good. So far, it's been a positive experience for her.
