"Less Staff and No Activities Noticed Over Time"
Floor care seems to be getting less and less. I haven’t noticed any activities lately. When my sister first moved in December 2022, there were nurses and aides everywhere, but now there’s only one nurse and one aide. I understand there have been changes, but what happened.

"Mixed Feelings at The Woodlands"
I think The Woodlands is a good place. The staff is friendly, and the food looks delicious. My only issue is that they need better communication when moving in loved ones. .

"New Tour Guide at The Woodlands"
I liked The Woodlands. The place was tidy. The tour guide was new, so he didn’t know everything.”

"Clean, Modern Assisted Living Near Amenities"
The staff gave us a tour after hours. The residents seemed happy, walking around and sitting outside. The facility was the cleanest and most modern among the senior living options we saw. It’s super close to the Shaker Heights library, a grocery store, and other community spots. We just wish they accepted Medicaid

Nice property, small rooms, unclear additional care costs, lacking transparency.

"Mixed Experience at The Woodlands"
I visited The Woodlands, but it was a quick tour because there were no salespeople or guides available. The staff tried their best, and they seemed friendly, but they didn’t follow up. We actually preferred another community.

"Great place with caring staff and fun activities"
Everything is going well for my parent since they moved here. It's a nice place, and they keep it very clean. The staff is great; they are caring, loving, and supportive. There are activities, and they encourage residents to join in. The meals are balanced, and they accommodate special diets. I know my parent is safe and well cared for. I would recommend this community.

"Friendly and well-kept, but not suitable for advanced care needs"
The Woodlands of Shaker Heights is a friendly and well-maintained community. The staff is nice, and the place looks great. However, it didn't offer the level of care my husband needed, so we moved from assisted living to the memory care unit. It's a great place, just not what we needed right now.

"Care with Rate Concerns"
I picked ‘The Woodlands of Shaker Heights’ for my mom because it’s in a familiar area, and I liked the cozy home-like feel. Mom settled in within a few months, which was impressive. The friendly staff made her feel welcome. However, they increased the monthly rate twice in just two months after assessing her needs. I’ll need to keep an eye on those rate hikes. Overall, I’m pleased with the care my mom receives.
