The Wyngate Senior Living Community (Lima)

"Not the Right Fit for Us"
We didn't like this place as much because another community was a better fit for my loved one. We just weren't impressed, and they were just coming out of a COVID lockdown.

"Highly Discouraged: Poor Care at Lucrative Assisted Living Facility"
Skip this place! The exterior is impressive, and there's nice decor inside, but that's only surface level. The crucial things like proper care and decent meals are seriously lagging. I moved my mom here because they guaranteed top-quality care for her - I live far away and we're even shelling out extra for personal help like dressing, showering, and laundry support. But it's clear that's not happening. Sure, basics like cleaning and laundry are done, but inconsistently. The food isn't good, and the dining area could be much cleaner. Just last week, my mom rang me up in tears, feeling completely neglected. I'm so let down. I've raised these issues, but it's only become worse. As soon as I discover a better facility, my mom will be transferred. Don't admit your loved ones to this place. They're understaffed, employees aren't paid enough, and there's a real lack of quality in care.

"Steer Clear! Lousy Care and Disappointing Service!"
Save your energy! The exterior is nice, but that's about it. Sure, it's pretty on the inside, but what matters - the care, the food... it stinks. I put my mom here because they swore she'd get top-notch care. I'm far away. We give extra bucks for personal help like dressing, showers, and such, but she's not getting it. Simple tasks like laundry, tidying up, and bed changes happen...eventually. And the food's not so great. The dining hall could use a good scrub. Last week, my mom phoned me, teary, saying she feels neglected. This has been a huge letdown. I've complained, but things have gone downhill. The minute I find a better place, mom's outta there. Don't ever move your loved ones here. They're short on staff, underpaid, and the care just isn't up to par.

"Amazing staff and welcoming community for my grandparents"
My grandparents are doing great here. The place is really nice, clean, and welcoming. The staff is amazing, very caring, and helpful. They always go out of their way to help me. My grandmother likes the food, and my grandfather eats when he can. When we visited, the director kept checking in with me. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

"Exceptional and caring staff"
My grandparents are doing very well here. The community is nice, clean, and welcoming. The staff makes all the difference. They are exceptional, caring, and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure I get what I need. My grandmother likes the food, and my grandfather eats when he can. When we toured, the director always followed up with me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

"Friendly and Welcoming!"
I recently visited this place for my father, and I don’t have any complaints about how things went. The staff arrived on time for our appointment and answered all our questions. They did a great job with the presentation and spent plenty of time with us during our visit. Unfortunately, it didn’t fit our budget in the end.

"Nice Place with Good Care but Needs Younger Residents"
My son is okay and the place is nice. They take him to fun spots like the zoo and the casino. The food is good, but sometimes it's not what he likes. The atmosphere is good for him, but he's not happy because there's no one his age. He's the youngest one here.

""Excellent Welcome, Meeting Personal Requests""
The care home really made my parents feel special when they arrived. I had a chat with the boss and they wanted to know how to make my folks comfortable. I joked and said they'd be thrilled with a six-pack of pop in the fridge and a visit from the local priest to bless their new place, and they did just that.

"Excellent care, friendly staff, individual rooms - highly recommend!"
We really like this place! The rooms are nice and private, and the food is tasty. The people who work here are super nice. We feel good about the care they give. Honestly, I can't think of anything they could do better.

"Missing Julie’s Touch"
I miss Julie. She made us feel safe and cared for. The food gets a four. Julie’s absence affects our experience. Her call button went off accidentally, and no one checked on her. The cottage is nice, and the cleaning lady is great!

"She cherishes her cottage and its people."
I miss Julie. She was a big reason we chose this community—trustworthy and responsive. Now, without her, we feel less secure. The food gets a four. When Julie had guests, they’d bring extra meals. But her call button went unanswered. Still, she loves her cottage and the friendly conversations.
