"Great place, couldn't meet specific needs"
I used to live at Traditions of Deerfield. It was a great place and everything was good. The only issue was they couldn't meet my specific needs, so I had to move. I would still recommend this place to family and friends.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We chose this place because it's nearby. They interacted with memory care patients. However, I wouldn't recommend it. We faced billing problems and frequent management changes. Plus, there was a significant price hike within a year.

"Helpful Staff and Convenient Location"
We chose this place because it’s nearby. The staff is great, and I really liked them. I’d recommend it to other families. A Place for Mom helped me find it.

"[Noisy elevator, small units, poorly maintained flooring. Not for me."
The place wasn't as nice as I expected. It didn't have the size I wanted (2 bedrooms and 2 baths). The elevator was noisy and felt unsafe. The flooring in the hallway and elevator wasn't well kept. I knew right away it wasn't what I was looking for.

"Avoid Deerfield Traditions Due to Poor Management and Care"
I wish I could have given an even lower rating. My relative is having a really bad time at Deerfield Traditions. We've complained to the Executive Directors, too many to list, over the past year, but nothing improved. We also spoke from the corporate team. She seemed fake and careless. It was shocking as she blamed ex-employees instead of accepting her part in the mess this place is in. She talked over us, ignoring what we had to say. The staff kept insisting she knows what's best for our relative, even when our doctor disagreed. Despite loads of complaints, our issues remain unresolved. A lot of good employees have quit recently, which worries me and other families here. My advice is not to move anyone to Deerfield Traditions. We’ve had a truly awful experience.

"Happy with food, suggest orientation for new residents"
My loved one enjoys the food and is happy. They've had some staffing problems but are resolving them. A move-in orientation would be good. Overall, I'm pleased.

"Nice tour, chose another for being more upscale."
We had a really nice tour at Traditions of Deerfield, and it was one of our top two choices. We chose the other facility because it was a bit more upscale and better matched my loved one’s preferences. However, Traditions of Deerfield was still really nice.

"Headline"
We took a virtual tour of this community. They answered all our questions, which was helpful. The tour was good, but I wish I could have seen more of the community.

"Assisted Living Community Nice for Lifestyle, Not Medical Needs"
This place is okay if you want a lifestyle community. But if your loved one needs medical help, it's not suitable.

"Safety Concerns and Lack of Attention in Assisted Living Facility"
My dad fell multiple times at this place. He's in memory care and needs more help. Sometimes, he misses meals because they forget to check on him. He has a button for help on his wrist, but he often takes it off. When I visit, I notice it's not there. When I ask the staff, they don't know where it is or how it came off. Once it stopped working, and he was on the floor for hours before anyone noticed. Safety worries us. I wouldn't suggest it to others.

""Pretty place, but poor care leads to hospital stay""
The place looks pretty and new, but the care given just wasn't good enough. My family member ended up in the hospital with a serious sickness after only being there for less than two months. The person in charge of all the medical stuff is a Licensed Practical Nurse, not a Registered Nurse, and all the residents get to see is a Physician's Assistant, not a real doctor. The apartment wasn't clean and my family member wasn't taken care of properly. In my honest opinion, it's better to look somewhere else. We were paying for the best level of care and it really doesn't feel like we got it.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Healthcare Standards"
Traditions looks nice but lacks proper healthcare. Nursing head isn't a registered nurse, just an LPN, and residents aren't seen by a doctor but by a Physician Assistant. Our family member got seriously sick within two months due to inadequate medical care. Moreover, there were cleanliness issues in the apartment and with personal hygiene. It seems there's a big gap between what they promise in marketing and what they deliver. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend this place.

"Family-Centered Assisted Living at Traditions"
I think family should be more involved in care services. The facility is nice, but they lack the capacity for advanced care. They only provide basic assisted living. We picked Traditions because it's pretty, close to home, and smaller.
