"Happy with communication and care at Brookdale."
I'm really happy with how the nurses keep me updated about mom and the aides help with any supplies she needs. When I visit mom (as much as I can with COVID rules), she's always smiling and happy! She says the workers are doing a great job and she's glad she picked Brookdale. I feel relaxed knowing she's safe and well cared for here. Thanks, Brookdale staff!

"Great place with care and events; happy with her stay."
My family moved my grandmother to this community after she had problems with independent living. We wanted a place where she would feel at home while keeping her independence. The option to go to meals or make something in her room was a big plus. She also brought her little dog, Rowdy. The view from her apartment was beautiful, and we made great memories there. The staff always knew us and enjoyed our visits. As she needed more care, they helped her stay independent and always made sure she looked her best. The community had amazing monthly events that we loved to join. When she developed Alzheimer's, we moved her to an identical apartment in the memory care unit, which helped her stay comfortable and safe. I recommend this community for those who want a place where everything is taken care of. I’m sad she passed away at 93, but I’m grateful she was well cared for.

"Steer Clear of Brookdale Village: An Utter Nightmare"
Terrible Experience! Many of the reviews discuss how amazing the tour is. Really? The tour is always impressive, but the reality strikes when you admit your loved one and start paying their sky-high fees. My mother moved in on a Saturday and by Monday night, she was taken to the hospital in the facility's ambulance. She passed away just nine days later. Despite enjoying her two-day stay, she complained about the terrible food. She had Parkinson's for fifteen years and was starting to show signs of dementia. One Monday afternoon when I went to visit, I struggled to find any staff for assistance. My mom needed help up and down from the toilet, but no one was around to help. The unending tremors from Parkinson's lasted for hours and not a single staff member was in sight. Finally, she said she needed to go to the hospital. My panic escalated when I couldn't find anyone in the vicinity. In desperation, I yelled out asking for an ambulance. A young staff member asked what was wrong and promised to call one. While waiting in my mom's room, it felt like an eternity before the ambulance arrived. I asked why it was taking so long and got a blank stare in return. She explained they needed to phone in for the ambulance after 10:00 p.m and hadn't done that. The ambulance had actually been waiting outside for ten minutes. Please keep away from Brookdale Village!

"Great experience with Brookdale, mom feels comfortable and happy"
From the start with A Home for Mom, everything was very helpful and friendly. When my sister got more involved in choosing, she also got a lot of support and was especially happy with Brookdale. My mom feels very comfortable at Brookdale and wasn’t overwhelmed after moving. We’re very happy with our choice, and it’s great that our mom feels so good about it too.

"Subpar Care and Low-Quality Meals at Assisting Living Facility"
The prior review was totally spot on. I wouldn't recommend placing your family member in this facility, particularly if they can't manage their own medication. Chances are high they'll need to remind the staff about their meds frequently, even though you'll be shelling out big bucks for that supposed service. Food-wise, the nutritional quality seems worse than what's offered in a homeless shelter.

"Friendly staff, clean facility, happy residents, great activities"
This place is great! The staff are super friendly and the place is clean and well-kept. While some residents seemed a bit confused, most looked really happy. I was really impressed with the activities they have. I also liked that it's small enough for my loved one to get the attention she needs.

"Mediocre Assisted Living Facility with Communication Issues"
This place is okay, not too fancy or special. Whenever I need something fixed, I have to say it over and over again. But the folks here are nice, nothing bad to say.

"Friendly Staff, Bland Food"
The place is nice, clean, and quiet. Caregivers are friendly and helpful, but sometimes slow to respond. The whole staff is easy to work with. The food is bland, but it’s likely to accommodate everyone’s needs.

"Don't Recommend: Crummiest Assisted Living Facility Ever"
This is hands down the crummiest assisted living I've ever seen. I wouldn't even suggest this place to my biggest enemy.
