"Dorcet Place Fails Adequately to Care For Alzheimer's Patients"
We forked out a lot of money to get Dad into Dorcet Place because he suffers from Alzheimer's. Unfortunately, the staff working during the night aren't properly trained to deal with this illness. Instead of handling the situations appropriately, they just call the police when the residents don't comply with orders. After just 17 days, we were told to come pick him up, without any kind of refund for the services not rendered. This meant we had to provide care at home while they kept our money. Upon arriving to fetch him, we encountered a particularly aggressive staff member. And if this was how she treated us, it's not surprising that she may have provoked aggression in Dad. The management makes it difficult in getting to higher authorities, refusing to give us the corporate number. They claim they'll take care of the refund, but nothing's been done. I've had to involve a lawyer, which is a massive hassle. It's not what any family should go through when they entrust their loved one to a facility that's supposed to have trained staff. I want to clarify that I don't have any problems with how the day staff does their job. However, caring for Alzheimer's patients is a round-the-clock commitment. Dorcet Place needs to have competent staff at all times to cater to the Alzheimer's men and women in their care.

"Good Care Staff, Poor Management at Dorset"
My family member has been living at Dorset for a couple of months. I've only spotted the head person twice, even though I drop by nearly every day. This bothers me. When I try to call her, she never picks up and I can't leave a message. I can usually get a hold of the nurse, but she's often not around either. It makes me wonder who's in charge here. The people who provide care do a good job, but the people in charge don't. It's really annoying.

"Steer Clear of Dorset Place Assisted Living"
My family's experience at Dorset Place Assisted Living in OKC was downright terrible - the worst we've ever had. We got my family member out of there as soon as we could. I'd advise others not to choose this place.

Dorset Place felt chilly, and nobody welcomed us during the tour. It didn't leave a positive first impression.

"Unsatisfactory Care and Neglect at Assisted Living Facility"
At first glance, this assisted living facility seems alright. But it's not. I visit frequently and have witnessed unacceptable conditions. I'm writing this review to alert others, especially those who may not visit their loved ones here often. I had higher expectations. Personal belongings and money have disappeared, particularly from residents who can't realize it or stand up for themselves. My family member is quite independent and can do many things on her own. My concern is for those who can't. This place is even worse than a nursing home. Cleaning isn't done properly. I see this all the time. It's heartbreaking to see the state of some residents' rooms. I've talked to other residents who also have problems. I've heard that some residents aren't bathed regularly. The meals are tiny and don't seem like complete meals. Fruits and vegetables are rare, and when they are served, the portions are small. I often supplement my loved one's meals, paying out of my own pocket. Just this past weekend, a staff member bought donuts for the residents. I've tried to call to discuss these issues several times, but no one ever picks up. I have to go there in person and find someone to talk to. But either way, nothing changes. There are hardly any activities here, except for occasional bingo. I don't know what's happening here, but something needs to change. We've been hoping for improvements. I'm considering moving my loved one to a better place. But I felt compelled to leave this review in the hopes of helping others, both current and future residents. I wouldn't recommend this facility to my friends or family.

"Poorly Staffed Assisted Living Facility with Unpleasant Odors and Financial Issues"
They don't have enough people working there. My dad didn't get good care. It always smelled bad. And when my dad died, they didn't give my mom all the money they owed her. You should look for a different place!

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
I suggest looking elsewhere. Even though you pay a lot, you don't always get the help you need on time. The biggest problem is how long it takes for someone to come when you call for help. It usually takes one to one and a half hours. We pay for high-level care for my dad, but my mom has had to learn to help him transfer because no one comes quickly enough. We like the staff—they're nice and caring—but there aren't enough of them, and many leave quickly. Sometimes, even the cook helps with personal care because there aren't enough staff. That's the main issue.

"Great Staff, But Weekday Overnight Needs Improvement"
I would tell anyone going in to discuss their dietary needs. The staff was great at answering my questions. I felt the overnight staff during the weekdays wasn't as responsive.

"Disappointed by Lack of Care and Activities"
Right after my family member settled in, the place shut down. They promised to regularly check on the residents, but that didn’t happen as much as they said it would. I’d tell my friends to avoid this place. We eventually had to move my family member out. They claimed the activities director would visit and do one-on-one activities with the residents, but this only started happening right before we took my family member out of there.

"Visitor Appreciates Information and Assessment Process at Enlivant"
I met the owner. She knew a lot about the center and helped me find out about my father's status in New York. I like that Enlivant sends someone to assess my father before he moves in. I didn't get to see the facility yet. I'll have to reschedule my visit. Thanks the them.
