"Great Activities and Friendly Staff"
My loved one didn’t join the activities, but I was really impressed with what they offered. There were lots of different things to choose from if you wanted to join in. The staff are also very friendly.

"Decent Assisted Living with Fantastic Hospice Staff"
It's tough to get meals on time. Most folks in memory care end up with cold food due to long waits. When you visit, be sure to ask about meal timing, especially if your loved one is in memory care. The staff could use better training. Overall, it's a decent place for assisted living, and the hospice personnel are fantastic.

"Head Nurse Untruthful, Fountain Brook Staff Unhelpful and Unhappy"
My mom has Alzheimer’s and we chose Fountain Brook because it was close and seemed good when I visited. A nurse tested my mom and said she should be in Memory Care. We moved her in, but soon found problems. The nurse in charge wasn't honest or clear about my mom's care. The manager seemed to care more about having a full facility than patient care. The Memory Care team was unhappy and not nice to us. They seemed to want us to do most of the work. They were mean and didn't help or answer my questions. Fountain Brook doesn't have enough workers and everyone seemed out of sync. They made my mom's stay unhappy and acted like helping was a hassle. The doctors didn't seem to care about patients.

"Terrible care & service, above-par rates at FountainBrook Assisted Living & Memory Support"
Please, do NOT put your loved one with mild to medium Alzheimer's/Dementia in FountainBrook Assisted Living & Memory Support! The place looks good, but the care in the memory unit is below-par! I stayed with my mom the first week. I had to complain about the care to the director of the memory unit. By the way, I hardly saw the director there! Another manager heard my complaints too. But me and mom left, losing over $5,000 we'd paid...only then they told me we needed to give 30 days notice in writing to get any refund. Apparently, that little detail was hidden in their "contract". When I tried to discuss this with the Director, he was cold, insensitive, and rude. Here's what I noticed while staying with mom: 1) Not enough staff- they don’t have enough caregivers for all the residents, not enough to give proper service. Nobody there ever helped mom shower, get dressed or tidy her room. (The bathroom was cleaned only once). It freaked Mom out, us going to eat, and seeing other residents sleeping with their heads on the table. There often was only one staff member available to serve everyone. Residents, awake half the night, are sat at tables at 7:00-7:30 AM and go straight back to sleep. Once a resident even started choking, with no medics around to help! 2) There were zero activities in the memory unit. They just dump residents in wheelchairs in front of the TV after meals. They leave them there ‘til the next meal, and do the same after lunch. I had to take my mom to the general “Assisted Living” area to participate in any activities. The only good things about Fountain Brook Assisted Living & Memory Support are that the place is clean and the meals taste ok. I never write online reviews, but I'm so passionate that my review could stop someone making the dumb mistake I made. Don't place your loved one at the Memory Unit at Fountain Brooke Assisted Living & Memory Support!

"Uncomfortable Experience and Bad Online Reviews at Assisted Living Facility"
When I visited this assisted living facility for my relative, I immediately felt it wasn't the right place for us. I had checked out the online reviews before visiting, and they weren't all that great. Besides, the place was more costly compared to some other places I had checked out earlier. When I entered, a lady near the entrance kept shouting "help me, help me!" That made me quite uneasy, and I quickly realized it wasn't a place I would willingly bring my loved one.
