"Professional and friendly staff, average food, pleasant community atmosphere."
The staff is nice and knows what they're doing. The food used to be tastier. The place feels like a friendly community.

"Great Care, Needs More Food and Fun"
We really like the place and the head nurse is amazing. She’s there every day to look after our family member and everyone else, so we know they’re getting great care. But, we’re paying a lot and there just aren’t enough things to do or meals. They’re having trouble with their kitchen and the food isn’t the best. We get that it’s tough to get supplies these days, but it seems like they’re not buying enough food to go around.

"Friendly Atmosphere, Mixed Activities and Meals; Recommend Legend at Council Road"
We really like how nice everyone is at Legend at Council Road, both the residents and the staff. However, we think they could add more activities that teach us things. We've heard the meals are just okay. Overall, based on our experience so far, we would tell other families to consider Legend at Council Road.

"Nice Place, Lacks Cozy Feel"
The place was pretty good. It’s a big building with lots of people living there, but we hardly saw anyone around. It just didn’t feel like home.

"Director Approachable, Activities Good, Meals Need Nutritional Improvement"
The director at Legend at Council Road is easy to talk to and pays close attention to details. Whenever we have questions, she addresses them promptly, which we really like. When we visit, we find the activities enjoyable. However, we believe the meals could be better. They aren't as healthy as we expected and hoped for.

"Assisted Living Facility Enhances Activities, Earns Top Rating"
I recommend researching before choosing. Check if they provide claimed services and certifications. Activities were lacking, rated 3/5, mostly TV and sleep. Recently improved to 5/5, more engaging and interactive.

"Big facility but still worth a look"
I visited this place while searching for a home for my mom. The person who showed me around was friendly and seemed to know a lot. But, I didn't like that the place was pretty big. I worry they can't keep an eye on everyone all the time. There are hallways where staff can't see, so if my mom fell, no one would know unless someone walked by. Even though this place wasn't right for her, I would still tell other families to check it out.

"Assisted living facility with caring staff, but mixed experience"
The staff is really good at their job. They're nice and help the people who live there. The building is old, so there are some problems, but the people who fix things seem to be working on it. We thought the place would be set up differently for people who need help and those with memory problems. Right now, we're not sure if it's the right place for our family member. But it's clear that everyone who lives there and works there feels like family, and that's important!

"A Good Option!"
The Legend at Council was a nice place to visit. My aunt lives there, and she really enjoys it. Although I hoped my parents would choose this community, they went with another one.

"Nice Community with Room for Improvement"
So far, everything is going pretty well since we moved here. There are still some issues we’re working on, but hopefully, things will get better with time. This is a nice place. They keep it clean, and the staff is good for the most part. However, they seem to think that since I live with my wife, I have to take care of her most of the time. I wish they would be a bit more attentive. They have a new chef, so hopefully, the meals will improve. It’s still a work in progress, but overall, this is a good community.

"Staff Communication Needs Improvement"
The workers need to talk more. It's really clean, and food's fine. Not many things to do on weekends. People are nice, and nobody's upset. We picked it 'cause it's affordable and has memory care.

"Nice Place with Helpful Staff and Good Care"
Overall, it's been pretty good. Anytime we've had problems, they've fixed them quickly. The staff is very helpful, even though there is a high turnover, but not with key personnel. The billing took a bit to get right. It's one of the more expensive places, but it was the most convenient and seemed like the best choice. Everything costs extra; it's not all-inclusive. The key staff are very attentive, and the care is good. They have railings and lounges for residents to rest when walking. One girl even checks on my loved one on her days off. They use agencies to help with staffing, so there are some new people sometimes who aren't as efficient as the regular staff. She's made friends there and likes the food for the most part. It's usually pretty clean, but there have been a couple of times when the bathroom wasn't as clean as I'd like, and I didn't know we needed to bring our own trash bags. There are little housekeeping things that could be better, but it doesn't smell bad or anything. One thing is that the speaker is in the living room, but the pull cords are in the bathroom and bedroom, and there isn't a speaker in each area with the cord. The social director is terrific; she comes in, knows what's going on, and encourages her to come out. They have a family day every month with a different theme each time. They are very warm and give her hugs. It's a lovely place, very nice.
