Tealridge Assisted Living & Memory Care

"Substandard Care at Tealridge: Not Recommended"
Several months ago, we transferred my Mom to Tealridge Assisted Living. Without the extra help from independent caregivers that we personally hired and paid, my Mom's well-being would have been seriously at risk. My Mom has dementia and can't take care of herself. The support and help given by Tealridge has been below average and it greatly differed from aide to aide, especially during the weekends when no official employees were there to manage the operations. They can't keep up with delivering meals to many residents, and they seem to not care much about cleanliness for the facility or the people living in it. Some aides are impolite and neglect the elders they're supposed to care for. We can't trust the Director of the facility. I highly discourage anyone from choosing this facility.

"Teal Ridge needs renovation, but food smells amazing."
We visited Teal Ridge, and the staff was great. The residents were friendly, but the facility needs an update. It looks tired and worn. However, the food smelled amazing, and residents eagerly waited for the dining room to open.

"Overall, a good choice with minor food issues."
This community is good, but there are a few things they could fix. My father is happy here, although he has some complaints about the food. Overall, if I had to choose a place like this, I'd pick this community.

"Great Value, Friendly Tour, But Not the Right Fit"
Tealridge Assisted Living offers a good price for everything included. The place looks nice and matches the cost. [Name removed] was friendly and gave a great tour. We didn't pick this place because my mom needed more care and would enjoy another place more.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living with Excellent Care and Support"
I really like Tealridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. The people who work there have been so helpful for our family. All the staff give really good care. The building is nice and the cost is right for us. My parents' church is close, so their friends visit often. Another friend also has a family member there, so we all help each other. We're very happy we found this place for my parents. It's been good for our whole family, knowing they're safe and well cared for. It's just right for them. I would tell my friends and family to consider Tealridge Assisted Living & Memory Care.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Improvements Needed for Better Experience"
$4825 monthly. Not furnished. Managed by Scott. With 16 rooms, 8 are currently occupied. The studio apartments are 320 square feet each. Unfortunately, they are drab, dark, and quite boring. It seems the low cost is what draws people in. The facility got new management last year, and they are working on making things better. However, there's a lot that needs to be done in terms of freshening up and painting. The atmosphere is not stimulating, and there aren't enough residents for diverse socialization. Most residents seem disengaged. The staff-to-resident ratio is 2 to 8. Medication is provided, but there's a risk of disqualification due to falls. A physician is available for those who sign up. Laundry is done once a week. There's no extra charge for incontinence care. However, meals cost an additional $5. The staff seemed uninformed, and some new Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) lacked knowledge. It's believed that diapers are provided. Many residents spend a lot of time sleeping in chairs, and there's a persistent bad smell in the hallway. This facility caters exclusively to the elderly and might not suit everyone's needs, such as Holly's. Overall, it won't be considered as an option.

"Wonderful Facility with Great Support and Activities for Seniors"
My father and his wife really loved it, and I can't say enough good things about it. It was an amazing place, and I would recommend it to everyone. They took care of everything; you just needed to be able to get to the dining room. He could sit wherever he liked to chat and meet new people. The staff was like a big family, and I was really sad when they had to leave. They were always asking if things were going well, and they really know how to hire good people. They had fun activities like bingo and even had a bus to take them to events at the OC campus. We tried in-home care for a week, but it didn’t fit his needs as well.
