"Beautiful place, good care, some staff turnover issues"
The place is beautiful, and they keep it very clean. Like most places, they have a lot of staff turnover, which affects the care. We tried to build good relationships with the staff by bringing cookies from McLaren's and chocolates from See's. It's helpful to use their pharmacy for delivery, and you need to check that they're following the doctor's instructions and doses. The director listens and takes action when needed.

"Activities Shine, Nursing Needs Improvement"
The Director of Nursing is the weak link. She's lost doctors' orders, given incorrect medication, and isn't always truthful. The food is decent but made from cheap ingredients. The Activities Director, though, is fantastic. There are lots of fun events every day.

"Nice facility, good care, but inconsistent food quality"
The place is beautiful and well-kept, like a fancy hotel. The food is nutritious but sometimes not great. The staff is friendly, but there is a lot of turnover, like in many care facilities. My dad is in assisted living, and his room is very nice. They have lots of outings, classes, and special events. I think my dad gets good care, and the cost is a great value overall.

"Mixed Impressions: Friendly Concierge, Unimpressive Day-to-Day Staff"
The people at the front desk and the folks who fix things are nice, but everyone else who works here isn’t friendly. Our family member likes their apartment, but considering the price and what you get, it’s not worth it. Overall, we're not very impressed.

"Great tour, but facility too large for easy walking"
Our family took an in-person tour, and it was a good experience. The facility is nice, but it's so big that we worried she might have trouble walking from the apartments to the dining hall.

"Overall, a great community despite dining challenges."
The place is super clean, and the staff are really friendly. They have tons of activities throughout the week, like yoga, sewing, and games. The dining service has some staffing problems, but overall, it's great.

"Responsive staff despite staffing challenges."
The apartments are nice, and the facility is beautiful. Staff changes have been a challenge due to staffing issues in the country. But when I've had problems, they've been responsive.

"Great Fit for Our Family!"
My father-in-law lives in a 2-bedroom unit, which is just the right size for him. The only issue he's mentioned is that they don't serve sausage or bacon during breakfast, and sometimes the service is slow. The staff is mostly stable, except for the kitchen staff. The activities are good—they've been taking residents out more often and doing weekly visits to the superstore. Overall, it's been a great fit for our family.

"Poor care and communication at this assisted living facility"
My mom's been here since day one. It's been a terrible experience. The care is bad, they mess up her medications, and no one talks to us about her treatment. The managers don't listen to us, they only care about making money. Don't be fooled by their point system which makes you pay for basic services that normally don't cost extra. The night nurses are useless! The meals are too small and often can't be eaten. The place might look nice, but the care does not match up.

"A Wonderful Place for My Mom"
My mom has been at this place for two years, starting in independent living and now in assisted living. I’ve checked out other senior centers in the north OKC area, but none match up to the Veredan. The nursing staff is patient and professional, management answers questions quickly, and the maintenance and housekeeping are thorough and reliable. The meals are varied and served by kind waitstaff, and the concierge desk is staffed by amazing people who take care of my mom’s needs all day long. The grounds and apartments are beautiful and welcoming, not like a typical “nursing home.” I’m glad we found this place for my mom, and she’s happy to have a nice, safe place to relax at 95 years old.

"Disorganized and Inefficient Assisted Living Facility Experience"
The staff isn't organized. It took 3 days for a return call, even after I called again and insisted on speaking with the charge nurse. I scheduled a meeting with the director of nursing, confirmed via email, and took off work. When I arrived, she had double-booked my time. I wasn't notified in advance. The new director only apologized. No offer to help. The building is nice, but services are disorganized. Administration lacks customer service skills. I'm upset about paying nearly $4000 next month.

"Loud Staff, Poor Management at New Care Facility"
This new place seems really chaotic and not at all professional. The people who work there are noisy and I've heard them use bad language right at the nurse's station. The bosses are terrible! If you make a call and leave a message, no one will call you back. I've been phoning, leaving messages, and I even gave my name and number to the lady at the front desk but still, there's no response from them.

"Mixed feelings about new assisted living, good staff and activities"
It's a new place and they're just starting out. My mom is independent and hasn't complained. No issues with them. She's joined activities and likes the exercises. Sometimes musicians play for them. The food is okay, but she says the meat is tough. It's not like a fancy restaurant, and she hasn't raved about any meal. I take her out to eat sometimes. I really like that her apartment has plenty of space. The people at the front desk always greet me, and the waitstaff is really friendly.
