"Clean and bright facility, great for loved ones"

Sand Sage of The Highlands is a bright and clean place. I think the activities could include group talks about growing up, favorite movies, or books. I would recommend them to others looking for care for a loved one.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Facility"

Their nurse practitioner is amazing. Without her, we wouldn't have discovered my mom's leukemia. The facility is clean, and month-to-month rent is a relief. The food isn't great, but the friendly staff and nice facility make up for it.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement, but Clean Environment Overall"

We're still sorting out some problems at Willowood at Mustang. I'd rate it higher if they replaced the carpet in my mom's studio. They cleaned it, but the previous resident had accidents, so it still smells like urine. They promised to move her to a one-bedroom, but she's unhappy in the smaller studio. They offer activities, but since my mom doesn't use a walker or wheelchair, she feels they don't have much for her. However, she enjoys playing dominoes and attending church services. Besides my mom's room, Willowood is clean and nicely decorated.

"Mixed Feelings: Nice Staff, Odd Smell, Not Ideal for Us"

I went on a tour of this place, and it was alright. The folks there were nice to my family. Everything I saw seemed good and tidy. But there was this weird smell hanging around, which bothered me. Overall, the visit was fine, but I didn't think it was the right fit for us.

"Small Rooms Overshadow Awesome Experience"

The place was great, but the rooms were tiny and cramped. We won't choose it for now.

"Strong Smell Concerns, Hygiene Standards Disappointing"

I didn't like the visit to this place. The memory care area smelled bad, like poop, in many spots. It made me worry if the staff are looking after the residents' cleanliness properly. I wouldn't want my wife to be in such a stinky place or have an accident and it not get cleaned up quickly.

"Facility Good, Location Far"

The facility is nice, but it’s a bit farther away than I expected. It’s mainly for assisted living.

"A Great Choice for Dad at Willowood Assisted Living"

Moving my father-in-law to Willowood was definitely the right decision. I'm really happy with all the staff there. They're super friendly and always keep me informed about how he's doing. I haven't tried the food yet, but it seems alright for him. Willowood is a small place with just 15 beds, but they make sure he stays busy and active. The place is always clean, and they take good care of the grounds too.

"Warm, Caring Staff Make it a Perfect Choice"

Willowood is an amazing place. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were at home. Everyone, from the director to the maintenance guy to the nurses' aides and cleaning staff, went out of their way to introduce themselves during our tour. We also visited two other places that day, but it was clear that Willowood was the best choice for Mom. She has only been there a short time but is already adjusting really well. They paired her with another lady for meals, and they get along great, laughing and chatting throughout their meals. The staff has been so kind to Mom, making her feel at home and even like their own grandma, with hugs and kisses. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. The Wellness Director goes above and beyond to ensure Mom gets her medicine on time and stays on top of everything. We love this place!
