Bayside Terrace Assisted Living and Memory Care

"Caring Staff in Memory Care Ensures Residents Feel Heard"
The staff at the memory care unit is really caring. They spend extra time talking and listening to each resident individually. They make sure everyone's needs are met and that the residents know they are being heard. The environment is filled with love and care.

"Assisted Living with a Home Like Feel and Beautiful Grounds"
I had an awesome tour at Bayside Terrace. It felt like a real home. The people there really care about each other. They spend a lot of time together. And the outside area is really pretty.

"Friendly, clean facility with good engagement, but COVID impacted activities"
We felt good about this place. The people were friendly, and everything was clean. We really appreciated how much they interacted with our mom. The activities could have been better if they weren't in and out of lockdown because of COVID.

"Mixed Experience at Bayside Terrace Assisted Living"
Our visit to Bayside Terrace was really good. The only problem was having to go up a flight of stairs to move in, which wasn't very convenient. The place just didn't seem right for my dad.

"Assisted Living Review: So Far, So Good!"
My brother lives in another state, but he's doing well. He settled in quickly, and the staff treats him well. The place is clean, and they keep his room tidy. I'd definitely suggest them; they're very helpful.

"Decent Place, But Needs Variety and Healthier Food"
My buddy just moved into this place and he's having trouble getting used to it. This place could get better by offering activities that are more specific to boys and girls. I get it, they can't let folks use dangerous stuff like blow torches and they have to have activities everyone will enjoy. But adding more variety would be nice. They also need to serve better food. It'd be great if they served less canned stuff and meals that aren't too salty or sweet. I had dinner with him yesterday and dessert was a huge slice of cake that was covered in too much frosting. My friend and I picked this place because it beat the other two options we visited.

"Avoid! Terrible Management and Lack of Resident Care"
Yikes! Don't let your family member live here! The people in charge act like a mean friend group from middle school, spreading rumors about their coworkers and the people who live there. They don't seem to care about making the residents feel welcome or comfortable. They do whatever they want, even if it's against the rules — just because it makes them feel good. The person who's supposed to be in charge, the director, is almost never around. When she is, it's only to take care of her own personal stuff. I've spoken with people who used to work here, and they can't believe what she's up to. Rather than doing her job, she just dumps her work on other people and doesn't do anything herself. The folks living here definitely aren't their top priority, like they claim. They are only interested in money. Please, do not let your loved one live here!

"No Consideration for Residents at Bayside Terrace"
I think that all the positive reviews about Bayside Terrace were penned by employees because my experience was completely the opposite. It's not even like management bothers to interact with residents, let alone offer them a coke! There are just two caregivers assigned for every 11 to 18 people. How much genuine care and attention do you think your family member will get? It's even been seen that some of these caregivers yell at and mishandle their patients. Not to mention that the administration breaks its own rules by employing family members and giving them positions of authority. I wouldn't consider this place as a last resort for any family member.

"A Caring Community with Fun Activities and Great Food"
My mom lives here, and I can honestly say the community is beautiful. There's a nice garden path that you can walk around the building. The staff is super friendly, and the food is really good—especially for assisted living! They have an awesome activity program with lots of fun things to do, like crafts, painting, and live music. My mom loves going to the Sticky Spoon Jammers jam-making classes. She even went with them to the farmer's market to sell their homemade jams and sauces. She was so proud when their group won the Oregon Healthcare Association Enrichment of Life Award.

"Home-like Assisted Living with Friendly Staff"
My mom stays at Bayside Terrace, and we're thrilled. It feels like home, not a big hotel. The staff has been super friendly from our first visit until now. Bayside Terrace is just great!

Friend of Potential Resident
"Same Firm as Ocean Ridge, but Poor Treatment of Residents"
Belongs to the same firm as Ocean Ridge, which was great. But here, they didn't treat the residents well. I followed the head person while they showed me the rooms. We passed by a lady and the head person told her "I'll fetch your soda soon." Through the tour, we passed her four more times and the head person repeated the promise. I suggested that the tour could pause for her to fetch the soda, but she said, "No, she can wait." This was a sorry sight of an elderly lady in a wheelchair. People looked unhappy. No one was even smiling. The folks at the dining area were just sitting there, not interested in anything.

"Decent Experience"
My dad isn't there anymore because he got much worse, so we had to move him out. Now he's in a nursing home. When my parents were at the assisted living facility, most of the staff were pretty good. Unfortunately, the food was terrible because they didn't season it. Also, during the entire time my mom stayed there, they never came in to vacuum. Still, overall, the staff was pretty good.

"Classy and New, Yet Pricey and Not Cozy"
This place is pretty new. The big room has a modern style with really tall ceilings, kind of like a vast, snazzy living room. However, it doesn't have a warm or inviting vibe. Even though it's fancy and clean, it's also quite pricey. My dad didn't really like its modern touch.
