"Mom Neglected at Maple Ridge: Subpar Meals, High Rent & No Care"
My mom lives there. She likes hanging out with her fellow residents. Her room is decent, but the food is at rock bottom quality. Every year, they seem to increase the rent. Right now, she's paying almost $ every month. Today, she tested positive for covid, so they've made her stay alone in her room for a quarantine period of two weeks. Normally, they're supposed to deliver meals to the room of a sick resident. My mom did her part - she called to order her dinner on time, and even called three times for it. Despite that, here it is after 8pm and there's no sign of her dinner. I'm not in Ashland so I can't help personally. Are they planning to just let her starve in there? She's over 100 years old and scared to protest because they might kick her out. When I called them, they just said the kitchen staff weren't around. Mom might call the Admin to see what can be done. Would I recommend Maple Ridge?

"Friendly Staff and Good Care, with Acceptable Food"
The people here are really nice and always willing to help. The food is okay. The staff are respectful and always follow health rules. My loved one is happy with his apartment too.

"Nice Community with Friendly People, but a Bit Expensive"
We visited this place and it seemed really nice. The people we met were friendly. However, this community was bigger and a bit more expensive than the one we picked.

"Misrepresented Amenities and Bad Treatment at Assisted Living Facility"
I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. They're really tricking people with a list of amenities that just aren't true. The food is usually pretty gross and the bigwigs who come to visit are actually quite rude to residents who speak up about problems. If things don't change big time soon, everyone's going to leave this place.

"Unreliable Services at Overpriced Ashland Assisted Living Facility"
Don't trust everything you read about the services listed for the assisted living place in Ashland, Oregon. My mom stays there and her contract is even being checked again because of some issues. Together with a number of other families, we're searching for a better home for her. This place costs too much for what it offers and doesn't have enough staff. From meals to cleaning, everything has been and continues to be very disappointing.

"False Advertising at Brookdale Assisted Living"
Don't believe everything Brookdale's fancy brochure claims. Let me tell you about my parent's experience at the Ashland Oregon facility. The food is terrible, portions are too small, and residents are often hungry. They serve only oranges and apples as fresh fruit, and health concerns are ignored. Activities are scarce, and transportation means a weekly trip to Walmart. Lightbulbs take forever to replace, making it unsafe at night. No pet care, no BBQs, no happy hours. All this for $2700 a month. False advertising!
