"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
While my mom stayed there, the management changed a lot, causing confusion about what we were paying for. But they sorted it out. The cleaning staff usually did a good job and listened when we had specific requests. Moving in and out was easy. Communication was mostly good, but a couple of times they didn't do enough or gave wrong info. It took a long time to get her refund after she passed, and the facility didn't handle it well, so I had to call their corporate office a few times. Mom really enjoyed the food—they had a nice variety. Overall, I'd recommend them. Some staff members were very close to my mom, cared a lot, and went beyond to help her and us, especially when she was passing away.

"Mixed Experience at Brookdale Assisted Living"
The place was pretty clean and everyone was friendly. Some staff were quiet at first but nice. They didn't give us much info about her schedule, though. She had to wait a while for some repairs, and the call button wait times varied. Staff were great when they helped her, though. A caregiver stayed with her when she passed, which was comforting. The food wasn't good, always cold, and staff didn't stick around to help. They said they'd fix it, but they didn't in time. Can't rate the activities because she didn't do any. Compared to other places, Brookdale felt cozy and affordable. Still waiting for a refund, and the corporate office was slow. Staff blamed corporate for most problems. Overall, glad my mom was there for her last weeks.

"Horrible Experience at Brookdale Forest Grove Assisted Living"
My family member used to live at Brookdale Forest Grove and it was horrible. From the people in charge to daily care, everything was awful. She ended up staying in the hospital for two weeks and we quickly moved her out. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Neglectful Treatment and Poor Cleanliness in Assisted Living Facility"
This place doesn't take care of its residents properly. My mom lived there for three weeks and she only got two showers. She didn't receive her first meal until 4pm, and that was after I had to call them at 2pm. People are going hungry. The whole place smells bad because there's garbage and adult diapers just sitting there for days. The list of complaints could go on and on.

"Great location and value, good activities"
Our loved one didn't get an orientation or tour during their first week, which made adjusting harder. But they've made up for it since then. The activities are really good. We chose this place because it's close, so family can visit easily, and it's cheaper than other places around.

"Absolute worst care home for loved ones"
This care home is a really bad place for someone you love to stay. The care they give isn't good enough. It smells like pee all the time! They didn't treat my dad well, like I saw management yell at him. They weren't safe either - my dad got lost a bunch of times and they didn't even know. We had to find him 30 miles away.

"Consistent improvements, friendly staff, but high turnover affects continuity."
Been living here for about 2 and 3/4 years. It's a quiet spot in the neighborhood, and the folks here are friendly and helpful. Over my time here, there have been quite a few changes in leadership, with different CEOs coming and going, and turnover in the caregiver and med room staff. They did a good job following all the COVID rules from the state and the region during the pandemic. The food from the kitchen got a lot better in taste and quality during my stay here. When I fell and had to go to the hospital, they took good care of me."

"Lack of Care at Assisted Living Leads to Hospitalization"
Stay away from this place! My granddad's in the hospital because of it! He got his first covid shot and his doctor said he shouldn't get the second one since he had covid just a month before the shot and it might make things worse. They didn't listen to his doctor and gave him the second shot anyway. Plus, they're supposed to help him every day, but they don't do what they need to take care of someone right. This might be a good place for someone who only needs a bit of help and likes having someone nearby in case something goes wrong, but it's not right for somebody who really needs assisted living. They don't assist properly or clean things right, or do anything they promised! They don't always change him if he has an accident, which isn't even a question they should ask, they bring him food, but never come back to get the dirty dishes, the food is just like hospital food, not homemade, and I could go on... Our whole family is real unhappy with how they've taken care of my granddad. Please, save your family the heartache and find somewhere else!

"Overall positive experience with friendly staff and good rooms."
The staff has been super friendly, especially over the phone. The rooms are great, and our loved one enjoys not having to cook or clean. The food is okay, but she's grown to like it.
