"Staff shortage causes privacy issues and concerns for residents"
The staff here is pretty small, so they can't be everywhere at once. There’s a big problem with residents wandering around, which really affects people who want their own space. Management should do something about this, maybe by hiring extra help. My husband isn’t happy staying there, and I’m feeling worried and upset. I know dealing with dementia is tough for everyone involved.

"Great care and financial help during sister’s assisted living transition"
They’ve really helped my sister move into assisted living. They worked hard to find us as much financial help as possible. They are taking good care of her. I’m glad we chose this place for her.

"Unresponsive Staff and Poor Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
It's impossible to get in touch with anyone from the staff. I highly recommend you don't consider this place. The first issue is that there isn't a direct contact number for any staff member, and they lack a voicemail system. They won't return your calls. Despite trying to contact them through email, letters, and other means, no one answers. I requested a detailed bill but received no reply. They claimed to administer medical care and medications but couldn't give any evidence. The room assigned to our loved ones was in poor condition and they didn't look well. Whenever questioned, the staff always had an excuse, usually that they were too busy. We decided to move our loved ones elsewhere. This process required a doctor's visit, which the director claimed to have arranged. However, upon calling the doctor, they informed me they were never contacted. I ended up having to coordinate this visit myself. When we first moved our loved ones in, we were assured they would receive a COVID-19 vaccine. But there's no evidence on record of any such vaccine. I have no idea if, and when they were vaccinated. Repeated calls to the front desk are a waste, as they just offer to take a message. Management has no voicemail. I don't understand how I never receive a callback. Furthermore, all our parents' clothes went missing. On the day they moved out and into their new home, they only had the clothes they were wearing. This meant that we had to completely replace their wardrobes. What's more, the monthly bill doubled after just one month, without any explanation or an itemized bill, which I never received despite making multiple requests.

The meals and dining service during our loved one's stay were sometimes good and sometimes not so great, so they could improve. What we really liked about the community was its location—it was very close to our family and friends.

"Convenient and Friendly Assisted Living Choice"
We picked Brookdale McMinnville because it’s close to us and had room when we needed it. My dad had a bedroom and a small living area shared with another room, which was just right for both of them. The staff were really nice and always ready to help. I think others would like it too.
