"New Management Sparks Resident Discontent"
Seems like a new management company recently took charge just before my mom moved in. Many residents are unhappy with the changes they've made, especially in the dining room and food experience. Now my mom is considering moving.

"Satisfied Mom, But Room for Improvement"
We gave it a 3 because they didn't keep us updated while we waited. The place is clean, and the staff helped once Mom moved in. She really likes the dining staff, and the food is good. Since she's independent, we can't say much about the care quality. Mom's happy with the meals, but guest meals cost too much. We wish there were more activities she'd enjoy. I won't rate the value since I can't compare it, but it's pricier than her old place. However, it seems similar to other places I checked. Overall, Mom's happy and has no complaints.

"Disappointing Tour and Unfriendly Guide at Mt. Tabor Facility"
My tour at Courtyard Mt. Tabor was really disappointing. The place is super big and the setup just doesn't seem right for memory care. The woman who showed us around seemed in a hurry and wasn't friendly at all. She didn't even ask one thing about my mom, which really worried me. It was like, "Here's the place, here's the info, now out you go." She was basically sprinting through the place, and didn't give us a chance to ask any questions afterward. All in all, it left a bad taste in my mouth right from the start.

"Better communication needed for care plan."
I'm told one thing, but sometimes it doesn't happen. Staff communication with families is good, but internal communication among staff needs improvement. The care plan isn't always followed, especially with dressing and undressing. Better management follow-through is needed.

"Good tour, but too expensive"
I had a nice virtual tour of Courtyard of Mt. Tabor. I didn't see any problems, but it costs too much for me.

"Beware: Assisted Living Facility Prioritizes Money Over Care"
Watch out for this place. They may tell you things come with the lease but then change their mind later on (and in my experience, they blamed the change on new owners). It's a bait and switch situation. Even though the people in charge are nice, they do a terrible job at welcoming new residents or keeping up ongoing communication. It feels like an extra job just to get a call or email back from someone on the staff. If you're going to argue at all for your loved one's well-being, you should really look at other places. Don't get it wrong, money is this facility's number 1 concern, not the care of its people. They'll say anything to win your business - so be careful.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Great Food!"
I had a great time living there. The food was delicious, and I appreciated the optional activities. The staff and residents were friendly.
