"Nice tour, but not the right fit"

"Caring Assisted Living for Your Loved Ones"
Fox Hollow Assisted Living in Bend, Oregon is a wonderful place for your parents when they need extra daily care. My dad lived there for 3 years. The staff at Fox Hollow was really helpful and caring. My dad had a major stroke and couldn't talk, so he needed extra special care, and they were always ready to provide it. I could tell that some of them really loved my dad, and he loved them too. Everyone was always very friendly whenever I visited.

My mom is doing really well. The staff are great at making her feel comfortable and encouraging her to stay active. She’s eating well. I feel good about her care and safety. Everyone is doing their best to make things better.

This place is a bit pricier compared to others we checked out. They use a point system at Fox Hollow, so costs are clear and we know exactly what we’re paying for. They’re pretty quick with their services, which is nice. Mom really likes the food, which is important to us. I’d rate it a five. They offer alternatives if she doesn’t like a meal, and the nutrition seems pretty good. They also arrange tables so residents can get to know each other, which is consistent. The staff remembers everyone’s names. They handle end-of-life care but don’t have memory care. Hospice can come here. Moving here is a big change, and sometimes residents suddenly want to go back home. Phone isn’t included—you need to get a line or use a cell phone. You pay rent, plus for cable, electricity, and meals; everything else costs extra. They ensure she gets to her appointments and have been good at communicating. Nurses aren’t always on-site but are available on call; aides provide care. Stop searching around—ask what the minimum price is.
