"Friendly staff, slow call button response."
The staff at Gibson Creek Retirement Cottage and assisted living are super friendly and quick with food service. The only issue is the wait time when someone pushes the call button.

"Negligent Management and Overworked Staff in Assisted Living Facility"
Avoid this place for your loved ones. They seriously couldn't care less about residents. The real problem isn't the healthcare workers on the ground. The issue lies with the management. The corporate bosses and the executive directors bear the blame. It's not that the caregivers don't care, they do. But they're pushed to their limits and no help is given. A patient had staples in his head for over two months. These should've been removed after just ten days! Same patient had stitches in for around three months. They still keep an employee who is clearly drinking on duty and also sleeping. The reason? She's protected by her years of service. This doesn't make sense. Wrong things need to be addressed. They fired caregivers not because of any bad work but due to their difference of opinion with the management. This place only wants your money. They don't mean to keep their promises even for a bit. They'll spin a persuasive story to tempt you in. I've seen this situation with my own eyes.

"Loved One Unhappy: Staff Turnover and Missing Services"
This place started out good, but now it's terrible. All the staff we liked disappeared suddenly, and no one will tell us why. The people who give medication still seem to know what they're doing, but they can't keep staff in general. They're also charging us for services they're not giving. We talked to them about it, but nothing changed. My loved one is very unhappy there.

"Friendly and Clean Assisted Living with Great Activities and Menu"
The staff at this place is super nice, they really help you out and understand your needs. The building is kept really clean and tidy, no messes anywhere. There’s always a lot of stuff happening, plenty of activities to keep busy with. The food they serve here is really great, can’t beat it! We chose this place for my dad, he’s 93 and needs a lot of care, and it’s been perfect for him.

"Constant Hassle at Assisted Living Facilities: Not Worth It"
My husband and I really mean it when we say watch out if you're thinking of moving your family member into a Bonaventure place, or any other assisted living spot. We had a really hard time with this place and they won't let us share all the details. You should totally make sure you get everything on paper and brace yourself for never-ending stress. They just aren't deserving of your precious time and hard work.

"Inadequate Care and Unprofessional Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
Don't consider this place for your loved ones. The lady who says she's the regional manager needs to rethink her choice of clothing and seriously work on her anger problems. The people working here don't care enough about their residents, and don't stick to the care plans like they're supposed to. They failed to monitor my grandpa's depends each hour as required, leaving him without essential support. Even worse, they left my grandpa without his lifesaving oxygen tank leaving him gasping for breath. The lack of proper care here is disheartening and disgusting, and I don't wish anyone's loved one to suffer in this facility.

"Disastrous Experience with Gibson Creek Assisted Living"
My Dad and stepmom moved into Gibson Creek Assisted Living after my stepmom's stroke. While they were admitted quickly, the care provided was terrible. For example, my stepmom didn't receive her vital blood thinner medication for three days, which resulted in an emergency hospital visit. This made us lose trust in the facility, so we gave our 30-day moving out notice. They were moved out in just a week, with my stepsister even moving in to ensure my stepmom received her essential medications. I wouldn't recommend Gibson Creek because there's a possibility your loved one might not make it.

"Great care and activities at Gibson Creek, with staff support"
Our dad has lived at Gibson Creek for two years. My brothers and I really appreciate how the staff takes care of him and how they interact with him. They do a great job. There are many activities to join, though he doesn't take part, but he enjoys the entertainers who visit. The staff has worked with us to meet our dad's growing needs.
