Oatfield Senior Care Home

"Good facility but issues with communication and dementia care"
The facility was nice, clean, and easy to get around. They kept in touch with me, but they complained a lot, which was frustrating considering the cost. The hospice team was fantastic, though. Overall, Oatfield did a good job. I wasn't happy with how the manager talked about my mom’s breathing problems before she died. I also wanted to be with her when she passed away, but I only found out the next morning, even though I asked to be contacted anytime. I was also surprised that the staff seemed unsure about how to handle a woman with dementia who was shouting, like my mom was. Shouldn't they be prepared for that.

"Mixed feelings about care; lack of communication during mother's passing."
The staff were mostly good, but sometimes the manager seemed uncaring towards my mom in her final days. It was upsetting when she said my mom's breathing didn't matter because she was close to dying. Sometimes she was nice, but handling my mom's shouting was tough for them. The cost was a bit high, but I'm not sure how much care she needed when I wasn't there. I hope my mom got to see a priest and receive last rites, but no one told me how close she was to passing or let me be there.

"A Loving Home for Loved Ones"
My dad picked this home for my grandma. She was taken care of in a loving environment with a small staff. The home is beautiful and clean, and they serve three home-cooked meals a day. Now my mom is here too, in the same room where my grandma stayed years ago. Our family is grateful for this place, especially in grandma’s old room. I used to take care of her, but now that I can’t, I know my dad would approve of this home for mom. Mom is always clean, whether I visit announced or unannounced. The staff is great, and it feels like a family environment. I highly recommend it if you need a place for a loved one.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Facility is bright and cheery but lacked caregiver interactions."
I really liked this place because it's so bright and happy. I didn't meet the caregivers though.
