"A Horrible Experience at Oswego Place"
I used to live at Oswego Place Assisted Living Community and sadly, my time there was horrible. The employees were nice, but they had too much work. The food was just awful. The place was clean and most folks were friendly. But, the care services were very bad. I wouldn't tell others to live at Oswego Place Assisted Living Community.

"Unpleasant Visit to Oswego Place"
Oswego Place seemed really gloomy, and it didn't leave me with a positive feeling. Also, the person showing me around made some political remarks that I didn't like.

"Unsettling Staff Changes and Communication Issues at Facility"
Our time at this assisted living facility wasn't the best. The staff kept changing, causing confusion for residents and their families. I wouldn't suggest this place for other people's family members. They used agency staff, so it was tough to get familiar with them because they were always different. I didn't feel good about having my family member there. There was a lack of communication between the staff and the higher-ups, and we were always in the dark about who was in charge because no one followed up with our questions. They served three meals a day, and the residents could pick what they wanted. The Executive Director and Marketing Director were doing their best to improve the community and were quick to answer our questions.

"Disappointing Tour Experience at Oswego Place Assisted Living Facility"
Our family visited Oswego Place for a tour. It was disappointing. We almost left after 15 minutes. We had scheduled the tour, but the person who was supposed to give it wasn't there. Instead, someone else showed us around. She didn't know much about the cost or answer our questions. We requested a room with a view, but the options weren't great. The only positive was their quick follow-up to answer our questions.

"Sudden Leadership Change Damages Resident Satisfaction at Oswego Place"
When I initially came to Oswego Place, I was content. The primary director was nice and considerate. Sure, she could be a little tough, but always fair. When she moved on, we got a new director who's the daughter of the housekeeper. Personally, I don't think she knows how to lead properly. She turns to scare tactics when agitated. She misled me multiple times and got mad when caught. Plus, she's holding around . You gauge their success by the number of vacant units they have. I counted 16 empty ones when I left, a big amount for 62-apartment complex. My new place only has "one." If you're thinking of moving into Oswego Place, drop by unannounced and chat with its residents. Hear the truth from them. They only have one housekeeper for the entire place, while my current place has three.

"Friendly Community with Excellent Staff!"
I recommend visiting the place to see if it suits you. The community takes good care of the residents. My friend wishes there were more people to interact with. The staff communication is excellent.

"Unresponsive Staff and Subpar Care in Nice-Looking Facility"
If you've got an elder who needs help with daily tasks such as eating, dressing, or transferring, this isn't the right facility. The staff take forever to answer calls, and when they do respond, they seem pretty clueless. We had to take our elder out after less than three days. Despite how nice it appears on the outside.

"Great care, but new manager's attitude needs improvement"
It wouldn’t be fair to say customer service is bad because Oswego Place has very good managers who provide excellent service. However, the new manager, [name removed], lacks patience, seems upset all the time, rarely greets guests or family, and is mostly focused on her cell phone. The caregivers are sweet, hardworking, and the nurse and health director are very attentive and involved. Overall, Oswego is friendly, clean, and a great option for your loved one’s care, but the receptionist could use a major attitude adjustment.

"Underqualified Staff; Subpar Assisted Living at Oswego Place"
This place may look good at first sight, but it's deceiving. The staff here lacks the necessary experience to look after our cherished seniors, and are barely paid the minimum wage, receiving very little training. Also, the nursing and medical aid aren't really equipped with the important skills and experience. You'd have to be there every day to make sure that your loved ones are getting the care they deserve. Keep searching for a better prepared and more qualified assisted living home. Oswego Place might be alright for seniors who are just looking for a retirement home.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Since my Mother-In-Law moved in, there's confusion between her personal caregiver and the facility's staff. Despite paying for the highest care level, she isn't getting all the services she needs. I'm unsure if it's the caregiver or my Mother-In-Law's preferences. While staff members are pleasant during my visits, her caregiver doesn't get along with them. Until things improve, I can't recommend this facility.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
My friend is slowly improving here, which is good news. She gets good care and seems happy. She's socializing a bit with other residents and has lots of visitors. The food seems to be to her liking. There are activities like visits from therapy dogs and live music on Fridays. They have an outdoor courtyard where I can bring my cat, and my friend enjoys watching it play there safely.
