"Assisted living facility fails in elderly mother's care."
This place didn't take good care of my mom at all. They did a poor job from the start, didn't listen to what she needed, didn't share her needs with the staff, and wound up not taking care of her properly after she was there for less than two months. At 93 years old, my mom could walk when she first came here, but after six weeks, she ended up in the emergency room and we had to bring her home in a wheelchair. The nurse either has too much on her plate or just isn't good at her job because when I told her that my mom's leg was swollen and her knee was bruised, she just said it was fine and suggested physical therapy. It turns out, my mom's knee was swollen because she had to crawl to the bathroom.

"Great View, Poor Food and Maintenance, Unreliable WiFi"
My family member didn't enjoy staying here mainly because the food was hard to eat. I often had to bring her meals because the food served was not good. Sometimes, it was even hard to identify what kind of meat was being served. She did enjoy the view from her room, which was overlooking the sea. That's one of the main reasons she chose this place. However, the maintenance service was not up to par. They removed a screen to fix it but never returned to put it back. It seems like they were understaffed, with only a few people to maintain all the rooms. Considering the price we paid, I expected better service from this facility. It felt like we were mostly paying for the view. They advertised that they have WiFi, but for some reason, the rooms facing the ocean had connectivity issues. We ended up getting our own because their WiFi didn't reach far enough.

"Great rooms and safety; dad loves the atmosphere and people"
We picked Pacific View Senior Living because my dad liked the area, the atmosphere, and the people. The rooms are really nice, and they do a great job with their covid safety measures. I would definitely recommend them.

"Pacific View Ejects Elderly Dad Over UTI Incident, Separates Parents"
Pacific View isn't a great choice for your loved ones! I had both my mom and dad here for about a year, with my mom in assisted living and my dad in memory care. My dad got a urinary tract infection (UTI), and sort of flipped out surprising everyone. Out of nowhere, he took a bite at someone when they were helping him out of a closet, and Pacific View, showed him the door! Going by my 30 years of experience in the medical field, I tried explaining to the staff that his unusual behavior was solely due to his UTI - but they just wouldn't hear it. Heartbreakingly, my dad had to stay at the coos bay hospital for more than a month until I found him another place. And of course, I moved my mom too, so she could be near him. So, when they tell you 'you're like family to us', please take it with a grain of salt!

"Delayed Care Led to Tragic Outcome"
My mother-in-law was 74 years old and healthy. She was excited to move to a home with people her age. But I wasn’t happy with how slowly they helped her when she fell. After the fall, she used a wheelchair for 5 days before getting medical attention. It took the facility more than 5 days to help her, and by then, her injuries were too severe, and she passed away.

"Assisted Living Facility Under New Management: Quality Decline"
This place got bought out by a big company recently, and everything went downhill fast. The food and service got way worse. They've already had two new bosses in six months. All the good staff quit, and now they just have trainees. I'd talk to someone who lives here before you decide to move in.

"Mixed Experience at Pacific View Assisted Living"
Pacific View offers stunning ocean views but lacks in dining quality. Staff is friendly but not always efficient. Activities are varied, mainly art-related, with occasional town trips. Recent management change brings hope for upgrades. Food disappoints, lacking in quality and presentation. Limited staff expertise affects dining experience negatively. Common rooms foster socializing. Special events like Mother's Day are appreciated.

"Facility with modern amenities falls short on dietary accommodations for seniors."
This place was really nice, but they couldn't adjust for my dad's diet. They could handle a diet where the food is made softer, but not one where everything is a liquid. It's a newer, fancier place, but also more pricey.
