"Deceptive Nursing Home: Overcharged and Items Stolen"
My dad-in-law moved into a care home 5 months back. They forced him to pay a full month's price even though he was only there for half of it. They told us we'd get a refund for the half month he wasn't even there. That was months ago, and they haven't given us any money back. My wife has tried to talk to the manager about it, but she's always "too busy" and says she'll call us back, which she never does. Plus, his new clothes and towels have been taken by the staff more than once, despite his name being clearly marked on them. THIS PLACE ISN'T TRUSTWORTHY OR RESPONSIBLE!

"Mixed Experience at Stoneybrook Assisted Living"
I suggest looking at different places and doing some research. Ask families of residents about their experiences. Our loved one’s care was okay, but only after we followed up and stayed involved. Stoneybrook charged more for care, but our loved one didn’t get the extra help we paid for. Hospice had to step in to manage things. The food was average, and sometimes they didn’t deliver meals to the rooms as promised. We had to stay very involved.

"Senior Living Facility Falls Short; Lack of Activities and Care"
We visited Stoneybrook Senior Living, and I wasn't too keen on it. There wasn't anything happening, hardly any folks around. It felt dull and lifeless. Plus, they couldn't provide the care our loved one required, so we picked somewhere else.

"Good Experience with Minor Issues"
Overall, we've had a good experience here. There have been a few times when they didn't meet our expectations, like forgetting meals for my loved one. The meals are okay, but sometimes my loved one thinks some of them aren't good to eat. The apartment has a bedroom, living area, and bathroom. It also comes with a sink, microwave, and refrigerator. They have different levels of care and pricing. They offer medication management, laundry, bringing food to my loved one, and housekeeping. The basic monthly fee covers the room and utilities. Residents can use transportation if they need it.

Our visit to Stoneybrook went well, but we preferred a single-level facility. It felt classier too.

They ask for six months of payment upfront. The rooms covered by Medicaid have a waitlist.

I love Stoneybrook Assisted Living. The food is fantastic, activities are fun and engaging, and the manager is incredibly sweet.

"Not Impressed"
I'm not impressed with this assisted living facility. They have communication, care, and security issues. When there's a problem, they bombard you with calls, but if you need to talk to someone, they never respond. We left messages to keep Mom off the bus, but they never reached the driver. How can the bus leave without checking who's on board? And the nurse said they couldn't change Mom's band-aid because they didn't always have them. When I asked for her email, she gave me a fake one. She kept saying she's 'just temporary.' Not good.

"Inconsistent Services and Staffing at Assisted Living Facility"
The place charges for things but often doesn't deliver. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. It's all a bit unpredictable. They don't have enough staff, and they keep changing too much. They really need someone who knows what they're doing. I'm not happy with them.
