"Absolutely Awful Retirement Facility, Overpriced & Poorly Managed"
This elderly care center is truly awful. It reeks terribly, almost like urine and feces. The people living there seem to have zero activities to engage in and are basically made to sit idly all day. The staff don't seem to have enough hands, but the managers remain indifferent. It's scary to even walk into the place. We're shelling out more than $6000 every month and it seems like we're getting nothing in return! No respect or consideration from the folks in charge. I strongly advise you to not send anyone you care about here.

"Nice facility, friendly staff, but no openings right now"
I visited Tanner Spring, and it was a really good place. It’s definitely one of our top choices. Sadly, they didn’t have any openings right now. I didn’t get to see the food, but the staff were friendly and knew what they were talking about. The place was clean, and the rooms were nice.

"Disappointing Visit to Tanner Spring Assisted Living Facility"
After visiting Tanner Spring, I chose not to pick it for my loved one. The rooms were super small, the place looked old, and I didn't notice many cheerful folks around. It felt pretty sad overall.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living in Beautiful, Well-Maintained Location"
This place is a pretty good choice. It looks newer and well-maintained. It's in a really nice area. Compared to other places we checked out for my family member, this seemed like a better choice.

"Unsatisfactory Memory Care Unit: Poor Conditions and Unprofessional Attire"
Our visit to the Memory Care Unit was led by two Marketing Specialists. The marketing experts, the person at the front desk, and the caregivers were all nice. But it shocked me that the management permitted one employee to wear such inappropriate clothing! She had on a really short skirt, a top with a very deep neckline, and flip flops! This seemed totally unprofessional to me whereas the other woman was dressed neatly and so was the young lady at the reception desk. The Memory Care Unit itself had a strong smell of urine. The furniture appeared old-fashioned and in serious need of replacement. The seniors were all just sitting around, asleep, without any activities happening, which was quite depressing. They've recently fixed up the main entrance to the Assisted Living, but considering the amount people pay for Memory Care (even for just a shared room!) they desperately need to improve this. The only outdoor space for the Memory Care patients is a small, dirty, fenced area. They ought to enlarge it and add a garden, at least. Even though this place is close to our house, we would never allow my mom to stay here. Better to spend your money somewhere else!

"Tanner Assisted Living: A Mixed Experience"
We had our mom at Tanner for 5 years. It’s a nice place with lots of hardworking staff. The caregivers were friendly, but they work hard for low pay. They organize fun activities and events like Easter dinners and picnics. However, there were some issues. When we moved Mom in, a caregiver said she’d never leave there alive. That upset us. When Mom passed away, we didn’t get any condolences or flowers from Tanner, even though we paid a lot each month. We didn’t trust the head nurse. She seemed mean and tricky. Promises were broken, like the shuttle service to the doctor. And they didn’t always help Mom with exercise or meals.

"Disappointing Visit to Nearby Tanner Assisted Living Facility"
I visited this place and came back really bummed out. I was hoping to love it because it's a stone's throw away from my house - it would've been perfect. But, the food they served was just bad. I wasn't alone, my family was with me. We all tried different things from the menu, but none of us enjoyed it. Something else that bothered me was when a resident wandered into the kitchen and was yelled at by a helper. Overall, Tanner didn't seem like a cheerful place for those living there. It didn't take long for me to decide that it wasn't the right place for my family.

"Shoddy Care and High Prices at Local Assisted Living Facility"
This Memory Care isn't the best option out there. The head honcho talks a good game but doesn't follow through. They can't even handle the basic things -- I can't keep track of how many times they've messed up. Poor meals lead to my mom often going hungry. Even though I brought extra food, they would forget to give it to her unless I reminded them. The residents aren't kept busy and often just line up in the living room, slumped over in their chairs. It's really heartbreaking. The staff doesn't really engage with them either, doing little more than the bare minimum. And don't get me started on the cost! Prices keep going up but the services remain the same. The furniture is cheap and second-hand, and to top it all off, the owner decided to only have shared rooms. Now two people are crammed in a small room, but the price is still a staggering $10,800 a month. It's clear where the priorities lie.

"Memory Care Falls Short"
We've been on the assisted side for a few years now. My advice is to keep track of your service points, get important discussions with admin in writing, and be prepared for long mealtime waits. The care staff is fantastic. Recently, we moved to Memory Care. Unfortunately, the young staff lacks experience in crucial areas. Despite the 7-to-1 ratio, the extra $2500 per month hasn't proven worthwhile.

"Decent community but not the right fit for my mother."
This community is really nice, and my tour was good. The place looked nice. The staff was really friendly and kind. Many things mattered in deciding where to move my mom for the best care. We had a good experience, and everyone was really nice. However, this wasn't the place for us.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The place looked good and tidy. The folks I met were friendly. They had things to do. But I wished there were more staff for each person in memory care.

"Impersonal Community and Institutional Bedrooms"
The staff was super friendly during our tour, but the community felt too big and impersonal. The fluorescent light in the bedrooms gave them an institutional vibe.
