"New Activities Director Could Improve Assisted Living Experience"
Looks like they might get a new Activities Director, which is good. The staff are trying to get my mom involved in activities, and we’re grateful for that.

"They Need a Wheelchair-Accessible Van!"
Most things are good at the assisted living place! But there are some problems. The cost for my loved one's care level is higher than we expected. They have 'field trips,' but they can't take my loved one in a wheelchair. I had to drive her to a doctor's appointment myself because they don't have accessible transportation. The staff is friendly, but I wish they had a wheelchair-accessible van. Residents pay a lot, so they could afford a better bus.

""Understaffed and Overpriced: Disappointing Care at Assisted Living Facility""
This place isn't great if your loved one needs round-the-clock care from a nurse. The staff here just doesn't seem to have enough training or people. The rooms aren't cleaned very well either. The meals aren't that tasty, and unfortunately, they wouldn't provide food between meals too. They do have amazing activities and some members of the staff really do their best, but there just aren't enough of them to give this place a better rating. It's disappointing that my Dad couldn't benefit from the high-quality care we were told we'd get and were hoping for, especially considering how much it costs each month.

"Great Staff, Needs Updates"
Our family toured Amity Place in person. The staff were wonderful, and the private rooms were very nice. However, the rest of the facilities really need to be updated. When we walked in, it felt more like a nursing home.

"Good Experience Despite Dated Facility"
My loved one didn't stay here long, but it was a good time. They accepted him quickly, even though we called them suddenly. The workers were super nice and really supported my loved one when he needed it. I can't praise them enough. They communicated with us really well, they did a great job. The building itself is a little old and could use some new things like carpet. I would suggest this place to my family and friends.

"Assisted Living Disappointment"
I don't like Amity Place much. They don't have nurses all day, so patients don't get proper care. They don't have enough staff. Also, the food choices aren't good.

"Amity Place Tour: Old, Nice Staff, Not Right Fit"
We went to check out Amity Place. The building seemed gloomy and old. The people there were friendly. Because of Covid, we could only see one room and the dining spot. But when we left, our family didn't think it was the right place for our loved one.

"Lacking Communication, but Caring Staff and Engaging Activities"
The nursing staff doesn't talk much with families. Sometimes it's tough to find someone to ask questions. The person in charge of activities is amazing! She makes sure my mom goes to classes and talks to others. My mom thinks the food is just alright. The helpers who help bathe and assist my mom are very friendly and caring.

"Great place with friendly staff and lots of activities"
I was really impressed with Amity Place. It seems like it could be the perfect spot for my mom. She doesn’t need a locked-down area right now. Everyone was friendly and positive. I liked the activities they offer and how happy everyone seemed. Plus, the place was very clean.

"Inadequate Care and False Claims at This Facility"
This place is only alright if your family member can manage mostly on their own. If not, the staff here can be awful and unpleasant. They're not well-prepared to take care of older adults with dementia! Don't bring your loved ones here if they need a lot of care or if they're dealing with dementia. This facility and its staff can't handle them. They claim they can provide for such requirements, but that's not true. They're not kind and they don't understand the disease.

"Satisfactory Assisted Living Experience"
This place has been really nice in helping me with my dad. They didn't have the room size we needed, so they moved him to a bigger one and provided furniture until a smaller room is available. Dad is starting to join activities and enjoys eating in the dining room. The community is clean, nice, and the staff is great with him.

"Perfect Assisted Living with Caring Staff and Great Amenities"
We feel lucky to have found Amity Place. Everything here is great. The staff is wonderful, always caring and treating each resident like family. The facility is very clean, warm, and welcoming. There are lots of activities for residents every day. The food is better than at many other places, with a varied and tasty menu. They also cater to special dietary needs and offer alternative choices. What we really like about Amity Place is its perfect size—it's neither too big to feel impersonal nor too small to lack needed amenities.

"Friendly, Affordable, and Convenient"
My dad is doing well as a new resident here. He really likes the meals and eats well. The staff takes good care of him, and I’m happy with the service. I chose this place because the staff is friendly, it’s more affordable than another facility, and it’s easy for our whole family to visit.

"Good Care for Dementia, but Wanderers may be Kicked Out"
Amity mixes dementia patients with others in assisted living, which is cool, but if your family member likes to wander, they might get kicked out. This place is too far for me.

"Great care, fun activities, and good food for Mom"
I’m happy with my mom’s care here. The place looks nice and was one of the two options I had. She’s doing well and recently went to the movies. She says she loves the food and has even gained some weight. Housekeeping is good, with no problems. The staff is great and even sent me a picture to show she’s doing well.

"Kind staff, but loud at night. Clean community."
The people who work here are really nice. We had a few problems with the nighttime staff. They sometimes turned on the lights and shouted at my mom to wake up and take her medicine. But overall, the place was kept really clean and tidy.

I liked this place a bunch. It's all on one level, so mom won't fuss about stairs or elevators. It's super clean and smells nice too. The folks there are really nice and always ready to help out.
