"Mixed Experience at Autumn House East"
My family member stayed at Autumn House East, and it was just okay. The aides were nice, but the health nurse wasn't great.

"Mostly Positive with Room for Improvement"
My experience has been more positive than negative. Keep in mind, I don't have a lot of experiences with assisted living places, so my points of reference are pretty limited. For example, when we switched my mom's pharmacy to the facility's pharmacy, there were a few issues. Is that a problem? I'm not sure. Maybe it happens with most new residents. I don't have past experiences to compare. The staff is courteous and professional. The facility seems clean and well maintained. The food looks like it could use some attention, but my mom has no complaints. I have no reservations about recommending the facility.

"Management Needs Improvement, Kind Staff Otherwise"
The staff here are really nice and always ready to help. My mom didn't have any complaints about them. Unfortunately, the people in charge didn't respond quickly to our requests. That's the only downside I can think of.

"Staff friendly, meals okay, minor theft, recommend facility."
Staff was mostly nice and helpful. The meals were okay, but I was disappointed that they didn’t have fruits and veggies at every meal. We had a few things go missing, not sure if it was the staff or other residents. Housekeeping was pretty good. Overall, I would recommend this place.

"Affordable, friendly, and convenient assisted living with pleasant environment."
We chose this place because it's affordable and the staff is friendly. The building smells nice and it's very close to our home. They were helpful and nice. They always answer my questions quickly.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Staff and Communication"
I like where the place is. It's near everything, so it's easy. But, some staff aren't nice to my mom and they don't talk much. It would be good if they could get rid of the mean staff and have a nice place for walks.

"Unacceptable Care and Conditions at Expensive Assisted Living Facility"
We're paying you to look after our elderly, so why did we have to visit three times a week to wash our grandmother because her basic hygiene was not being monitored by your staff? This was a terrible situation and I'll make sure to tell everyone in York County. There was spoiled food left in her room and the room check-ins were unreliable. These things should never happen, especially considering the considerable cost - or at any price, for that matter.

"Poor follow-up, care management required; not recommended."
At Autumn House East, follow-up lacks. Have to manage care. Not recommended.

"Helpful staff but busy, struggles with timely meds"
I’ve had a good relationship with their leadership team. They are laid back, helpful, and understood that I was suddenly navigating a world I knew nothing about. The staff is really busy, and even though they try hard, they struggle to give out medicine on time. Med Techs have to work in different parts of the facility. But if you ask to talk to a Med Tech, they try to help you right away. The staff is super kind to both of us and do their best to meet every need.

"Moving Mom Elsewhere"
My mom seems happy here, which is good. The place is kinda clean, and the nurses are okay. But they really need to work on communication. It's tough for me because I'm far away, and I can't get in touch with my mom. They have a phone in her room, but no one ever picks up. When I call the nurse station, it goes straight to voicemail. Not cool. And it's been days without talking to her. I complained to the bosses. Also, they promised transportation to doctor appointments, but I think they're too short-staffed to do it. Overall, not great. Heard a staff member say she wouldn't put her own family here. We're thinking of moving mom elsewhere.

"Made the Right Choice"
My mom's been at Autumn House East for more than a month, and she's really having a good time. The staff is super caring and helpful. It was a big adjustment for her since she used to have her own apartment but couldn't be alone anymore. So far, no complaints—we're happy we picked Autumn House.

"Let Down by Autumn House's Care"
I was shocked to find out that my family member didn't get the care we were promised when they moved into Autumn House. I believe the issue might be because they don't have enough staff. The alarm necklace they gave us when we moved in was hardly ever answered. Sometimes, it took hours for someone to respond. The nurses and helpers didn't seem to be able to answer even simple questions. The therapy, which I heard isn't provided by the facility itself, is really good. If I had known all this earlier, I might have picked a different place.

"Staff Fails to Inform Family about Incidents!"
At Autumn House East, the staff don't seem to let family members know if anything happens, like a fall or a scrape. When our family comes by, it doesn't look like anyone goes in to see her. However, they do have lots of activities to do. My mom doesn't have any issues with the food; she enjoys her meals there.

"Friendly and Caring Staff at Autumn Care East"
My dad is at Autumn Care East. Everyone there is so friendly, nice, and helpful. It helps me so much to know that my dad is being well taken care of when I can't be there. I chose Autumn House for my dad, and then before being moved, I was told he would have to go on hospice. I was so upset to think he wouldn't be able to go, but they still took my dad and helped me get all the hospice set up. All of the staff there are just a great group of people. I would recommend Autumn House if you need a great place for a family member.
