"Former Resident Slams Assisted Living Facility for Inadequate Care"
I relocated my spouse due to poor care at his previous assisted living facility. He lost significant weight, his medications were not properly managed, and he was often left in wet diapers. He spent almost all day seated and his mobility deteriorated so much that he could barely stand when he left. His diet consisted only of mashed potatoes with some meat for both lunch and dinner, and no activities were available. There was under-staffing, with only one aide and one med tech, resulting in late medication distribution. The cleanliness was not up to par and they lost several of my husband's clothes. Now in his new location, he receives well-balanced, home-cooked meals and his overall care has improved significantly. Despite a few nice aides and med techs, I found the care at his previous place deplorable and I believe it should be shut down as I'm an RN and I recognize the difference between quality care and substandard treatment.

"Needs More Activities and Attention"
The folks here don’t get much to do; they mostly just hang out in a room watching TV. I feel like the workers could do more to help her join in activities because staying in her room isn’t really helping. Sure, she plays bingo and attends church, but that’s pretty much it. I believe there should be more activities for those with memory issues. She’s missing out on a lot, and I think the workers should pay closer attention and be there for her more. If you want to visit your family, you gotta call ahead and set up a time, which is tough with a job. Plus, it’s really pricey, especially considering what we’re getting.

"Nice community, but not the right fit for my loved one"
This place seemed nice, but it didn't feel right for my loved one. The tour was fine, but I didn't think she would adjust well there.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The care services need better communication. As guardians, we want discussions to involve us directly, not just our loved one with memory issues. We can’t rate the meals ourselves, but our loved one finds them disgusting. Despite this, the hardworking staff make the situation good for our loved one. The living quarters are also satisfactory.

"Budget-friendly Assisted Living with Friendly Staff, but Quality Lacks"
This place isn't as good as some others. They fixed it up recently. Everyone who works here is nice. They give you a list of phone numbers for all the staff if you need to talk about your family member. If you have any problems, the boss wants to hear about it. If you don't have a lot of money, you might want to look at this place. My family member shares a room.

"Staff Friendly but Underqualified, Engagement and Care Lackluster, Food Good"
This place is nice and the people are friendly, but there aren't enough workers. The staff should be more involved, and they need to hire better-qualified people. Something happened to my husband while he was here, and we think it's because the person taking care of him wasn't trained enough. They didn't spend enough time doing things with him, maybe because they had him with other residents who needed more help. They didn't customize his care enough for him. The food was good, though.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility in Renovated School Building"
"It seems like a good place, though it feels institutional since it's in a renovated school. It might suit my needs, but I'll keep searching."

"Great care, small community, some staff more friendly, few activities."
My mother lived at Bethlehem Manor before she passed. I wouldn’t have picked a better place for her. I visited often since I was close by. It’s a small community, which I felt was better for mom. [Name] in the kitchen knew everyone’s meal preferences personally and created a family-like atmosphere. Most interactions with staff were positive, though some were friendlier than others. [Name] was fantastic with mom—very caring and smart. She was always the go-to person for any questions or concerns and was deeply involved with mom’s health and the other patients. It was reassuring to know someone else cared and that mom was well looked after. I do wish there had been more activities for mom to pass the time. Making this decision for a parent isn’t easy, but I’m glad it worked out.

"“Caring Community with Mom-Approved Care”"
My mom lived at that place. She got great care and felt right at home. The staff were kind and made her feel safe and loved. I’d totally recommend it to others.

"Bright, Cheery, and Better Care"
This place is very nice, bright, and cheerful. The care level seems like it would be better than where we are now.
