"Great Care at Brookdale Penn Hills"
My family thinks the care at Brookdale Penn Hills is great. I’d tell a friend to go there.

"Great Tour, No Rooms Available"
Our family took an in-person tour and had a great time. We would have had no problem with our loved one moving in, but they didn’t have any rooms available at the time.

"Underwhelming Assisted Living Facility Experience"
I had a tour scheduled, but the person wasn't available. We saw a couple of rooms ourselves. We also saw them cooking meals in the dining room. I wasn't impressed with the place. When I walked in, it felt strange, and I didn't feel good about it. I also heard the food isn't good here.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Now that my parent has moved, I want to share my thoughts. The caregivers are really nice and mostly pay attention. they are great. But, the office staff isn't as involved and doesn't acknowledge the hard work of the caregivers. They're only around during office hours. Despite this, I'd still recommend it because of the caring caregivers and kitchen staff. Just be proactive with the office staff.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Facility"
This is a great small place. The staff was friendly and gave us lots of helpful info. Everything was clean and well-organized.

"Shabby Assisted Living Facility Unfit for Even a Pet"
This place was a disaster as soon as I stepped in. It was cluttered, filthy and disordered. The folks living there were crowded around a tiny television in the main room. Plus, the facility is located on a noisy, crowded street. I didn't even bother with the tour; I wouldn't leave my pet there.

"Clean Facility with Food, but Watch for Falls"
The place is very clean, and the food tastes great. They should be more careful with people who might fall. We were only there for a few weeks, so we didn’t have enough time to fully assess it.

"Cramped and Crowded Facility with Tiny Beds"
As soon as I stepped inside, I found myself nearly tripping over a wheelchair. The whole place felt cramped and packed to the brim. This was true for both the shared spaces and the sleeping quarters. The room provided was quite small, with only a twin bed. My mom isn't accustomed to such a small bed, and I was concerned she might misjudge the space and tumble out while sleeping.
