"Chestnut Knoll: Outstanding Care!"
My family and our loved one had a really good time at Chestnut Knoll. The staff is top-notch, and they take excellent care of everyone. We recommend you visit and see for yourself. It's a community we'd suggest for your loved ones to live in. Before I got to Chestnut Knoll, I checked out eight other places. But honestly, there's no competition. They really go the extra mile in caring for residents.

"A Positive Experience at Chestnut Knoll"
I want to share an honest assessment of Chestnut Knoll. These are the things I believe make it great: 1. **Helpful Aides**: The aides who assist Mom have been wonderful. She's never complained about anyone! 2. **Quiet Atmosphere**: The rooms and hallways on the second floor (the 300s) are peaceful. 3. **Quick Responses**: When Mom activates the help button, the response is prompt. 4. **Enjoyable Food**: Mom enjoys most of the meals provided. 5. **Friendly Bus Assistance**: The transport bus staff are excellent and friendly. 6. **Overall Enjoyment**: Mom appreciates the quiet atmosphere, the food, and the people—both employees and other residents. She has made friends with residents and aides. 7. **Outdoor Area**: There's a pleasant outdoor space behind the dining room. 8. **Scenic View**: Mom loves that her room's window overlooks the outdoor porch area. She enjoys watching the branches of the trees sway on breezy days. 9. **Hairdresser's Care**: Mom really likes the care provided by the hairdresser. 10. **Nursing Team Excellence**: The nursing team offers excellent help.

"Nice Outdoor Area, But Dark Hallways"
Our family toured this place in person. It’s an older community, and the hallways were a bit dark with not much light. But, they did have a nice outdoor area.”

"Exceptional Care and Support at Chestnut Knoll Residential"
My mom lived at Chestnut Knoll Residential for 2.5 years with dementia. She was able to stay independent and make her own choices while the staff encouraged her to try new activities and join their many outings. Her safety was always a top priority, and the staff knew where she was at all times. They interacted with her, joked around, and most importantly, treated her like family. During her last week, the care and love she received were exceptional. The whole family’s needs were met, and we never felt like a burden. I highly recommend Chestnut Knoll Residential to anyone dealing with a loved one's declining mental and physical health. Their approach to care is impressive and adapts to each resident’s needs. My family and I will always be grateful for the wonderful care my mom received from the entire staff at Chestnut Knoll!

"A Caring Place That Feels Like Home for Parents"
My siblings and I were so thankful to have Chestnut Knoll for our parents when they moved from northern PA to be closer to us. My dad called it his home away from home. It was tough for them to leave their old home, but the staff at Chestnut Knoll made the move much easier. The staff were caring, knowledgeable, and really seemed to care about my parents' well-being. Even though my dad was paralyzed and my mom had dementia, the staff did everything they could to keep them together. My dad would tell his brother, There’s always someone to talk to here, and the food is great, especially the desserts. I’m always grateful to Chestnut Knoll for giving my parents a good quality of life in their final years.

"A Loving Home for Your Loved Ones with Genuine Care"
At the end of September 2016, my father, who was living in another facility, had a serious fall. After he got out of the hospital and rehab, we moved him into Memory Care at Chestnut Knoll. I can’t say enough good things about this place it truly feels like a home. It’s a place where you want to be, surrounded by people who really care. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with smiles from everyone, whether they are residents or staff. It’s clear that everyone at Chestnut Knoll genuinely cares about the residents. Even though my father has since passed away, when I came to collect his things, every caregiver gave me hugs and shared how much they would miss him. I know my dad loved them all, and I do too. If there’s one thing to remember from my review, it’s this: You want your loved one to be part of this amazing community.

"Highly recommend Chestnut Knoll for its caring staff and support"
We placed my Dad in Chestnut Knoll's Evergreen Neighbor when it became too difficult for my Mom to care for him at home. My Dad felt he was in a nice place and really enjoyed living there. The staff took great care of him. Sadly, he recently passed away and was placed in Hospice at Chestnut Knoll. When it became clear he wouldn’t live much longer, many of the staff came to say their “good-byes,” which meant a lot to our family. It showed us that they truly cared about my Dad, treating him like a friend, not just a resident. I would definitely recommend Chestnut Knoll to anyone looking for a wonderful place for a loved one. From the first day to the last, Chestnut Knoll helped us through a very hard time.

"Loving Care for Alzheimer’s and Memory Needs"
Deciding to move a loved one into memory care is tough. It brings up a lot of feelings like worry, sadness, and guilt. My family and I took care of my mom at home for years, but eventually, we couldn't give her the care she needed. We felt a lot of stress trying to ensure she had a good quality of life. After looking at many memory care places, I chose Chestnut Knoll for my mom, who had Alzheimer’s. She lived there for just under a year. Given how her condition changed, the team at Chestnut Knoll did a great job taking care of her and helping her have a good life. She got to do things there that she couldn't do at home, like participating in Fox Rehab services, joining activities, and socializing with other residents. She also enjoyed the monthly live entertainment. Chestnut Knoll is a modern and well-designed facility in a quiet part of Boyertown. It offers a warm and cozy living space. The memory care unit is secure but still allows residents to enjoy the outdoors in the patio and garden areas. The staff is well-trained, friendly, and caring. The staff encouraged my mom to stay as independent as possible, especially with activities. I visited often and was kept updated on her care. I enjoyed getting to know the residents and staff, who felt like family. I was also impressed that the administration and nursing staff were actively involved in providing care. They knew the residents well and treated them like family. The whole staff was very loving and supportive of my mom until her final days when we brought in hospice care. This meant we could care for her in a comfortable place rather than moving her elsewhere. I highly recommend Chestnut Knoll Memory Care to anyone with a family member who needs help with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or memory care. Thank you, Chestnut Knoll, for taking such good care of my mom.

"Old-style dorms, happy residents, not for Mom"
This place bummed me out right from the start. When I saw the rooms, they reminded me of really old-fashioned college dorms, which I didn't like at all. Even though all the people living there seemed really happy, I just don't think it was the right place for my mom.

"Grateful for Chestnut Knoll’s excellent care and dedicated staff"
My mother lived at Chestnut Knoll for ten years in the Evergreen unit. I can’t say enough good things about the people and especially the care staff there. Knowing my mom was in such good, caring hands made the transition easier for both her and our family. Ten years is a long time for someone in a dementia or Alzheimer's unit, and the staff became like family with their knowledge and care. I am very grateful for everything they did.

"Outstanding Care and Support at Chestnut Knoll Highly Recommended"
It’s been six weeks since Dick passed away, and I’m finally finding the right words to thank you for all the love and care you gave to our Dickie. During all the years he spent at Chestnut Knoll, I never had to worry about his care. You were always on top of things and kept me updated on any changes in Dick’s condition. You were my eyes and heart during this long goodbye. I knew you were doing everything possible to give him the best quality of life. You kept the residents engaged with daily activities, and Dick loved participating in the games and sing-a-longs. He even got the chance to play the drums sometimes. It takes a special team to care for our seniors, and I can’t thank you enough for everything you do for the residents at Chestnut Knoll. All I can say is well done, faithful friends. Well done.

"Outstanding care and support for our parents and family"
When my brother and I first visited Chestnut Knoll Memory Care to talk with the staff about our parents, we knew that soon they would need full-time care. Both had different stages of dementia and needed constant supervision. We had tried various types of in-home care, but despite the caregivers’ best efforts and kindness, our parents didn’t understand why these “strangers” were there when they felt they didn’t need help. It was clear to us that with their condition worsening, we needed to make a change. We couldn’t move in ourselves due to work and other commitments, so finding Chestnut Knoll was a big relief. After several falls and a hospital stay for our mother, we realized we had to make a decision soon. Thankfully, Stacy, Jennelle, and the whole team at Chestnut Knoll were incredible. They knew exactly how to support us and make my parents feel welcome. They even celebrated my parents’ 66th wedding anniversary at the facility shortly after they arrived. Now that my parents have passed away, we are very grateful to Chestnut Knoll Memory Care and Fox Rehab Services for providing them—and us—with excellent care and a good quality of life in their final months.

"A Place That Truly Cares!"
Dad moved to CK's Memory Care unit four years ago and stayed there until he passed away earlier this year. Was it tough to see him move in? Yes! But after a little while, I wondered why he hadn't moved there sooner. The chance for him to interact with so many others was great, and I was surprised at how much he cared about the staff. My biggest worry was that CK is a for-profit facility. But now? They truly deserve it! I’m grateful for the people who can make a living while taking such good care of Dad.

"Caring, respectful staff; personal attention and comfort throughout"
Both of my parents lived at Chestnut Knoll, and I highly recommend it to any family looking for personalized care. The staff is friendly, involved, and truly cares about each resident. They are respectful, patient, and show real concern. My parents liked the meals, which always had plenty of choices. They were also allowed to keep their cat in their room, which was a great comfort. There was an extra deposit for the cat, but it was returned after my father passed away. Even though my parents didn't join many activities, Chestnut Knoll offers a variety of bus trips, special programs, and community events. They received care from Caring Hospice at the end of their lives and were able to stay at Chestnut Knoll until the very end. The support and kindness from the staff were greatly appreciated. This level of care is not what you find in a nursing home. We did face some challenges at first, especially with my mother’s dementia, but the staff made sure my parents stayed together. They were even able to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary while living there.

"Highly recommended: Dad's 5 years at Chestnut Knoll"
Our dad, pop-pop, and pop-pop-pop lived at Chestnut Knoll for nearly 5 years. He chose it, and our family agreed. The facility was always clean and had no bad smells. Over time, we felt like we were part of their family. The staff treated Dad and everyone like their own family. The administrators, nurses, and therapists were always available to answer our many questions. Dad loved to exercise, but when Medicare stopped his sessions, he started to decline. Luckily, Chestnut Knoll introduced a new program with Fox Physical Therapy, which Dad enjoyed. Chestnut Knoll welcomed our whole family, including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even grand-dogs! As Dad approached the end of his life, we saw how much the staff cared for him through their eyes, tears, words, and actions. They treated us with respect and kindness, helping us in every way they could. We highly recommend Chestnut Knoll. It was a great choice for our family. Even if Dad had needed memory care, transitioning would have been smooth.

"Excellent Care and Regular Updates at Chestnut Knoll"

"Great care, communication, and attention at Chestnut Knoll"
Our Mom has lived at Chestnut Knoll Memory Care. From the start, the staff made her feel at home and welcome. Communication between our family and the staff has been excellent. Whenever we had questions, we could always find the right person, and they took the time to address our concerns, even when busy. There are plenty of activities to keep Mom engaged, along with some downtime, which is important. The therapy team has been great for keeping Mom in good shape. Unfortunately, Mom's health has declined, and she can no longer walk or join activities due to a broken hip and memory loss. Despite this, the staff continues to keep her engaged and attentive. I've told my family that if I ever need assisted living or memory care, Chestnut Knoll would be my choice.

"Chestnut Knoll - A Caring, Community-Oriented Assisted Living Facility"
My grandmother lived at Chestnut Knoll for over 7 years. She was very happy, and I was pleased with her care. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and treats residents like family. Since Chestnut Knoll isn't too big, the staff quickly learned her habits and lifestyle. I believe her last seven years were much better here than at home. At Chestnut Knoll, she had friends her own age and activities that kept her mind active and happy. Assisted living can be expensive, but we got excellent care. Also, Chestnut Knoll is well-connected to the Boyertown community, which supports them and benefits from their efforts. I highly recommend this place for assisted living in our area.

"They made Dad's last years comfortable and safe."
Chestnut Knoll was exactly what we needed. Dad had early Alzheimer’s and needed to leave his home. At Chestnut Knoll, he started in assisted living and then moved to the memory care unit (the Evergreen Neighborhood) as his condition worsened. Chestnut Knoll is in the peaceful Borough of Boyertown, PA, on West 5th Street next to open green space. It’s a nice, quiet place, perfect for someone used to rural living. The staff was always friendly, caring, and treated Dad like family, and they made us feel welcome too. The memory care unit was one of the biggest we saw, with a great activity room, dining rooms, memory stations, and sitting areas. The space felt open, not cramped, thanks to the long halls and two courtyards. Chestnut Knoll’s Wellness Center took care of Dad’s medical and medication needs. The nurses were quick to answer questions and kept us informed. The place is clean, bright, friendly, and homey. Their monthly cost was very reasonable. They made Dad’s last 2½ years comfortable and safe. After visiting his old house, Dad said he wanted to go back to Chestnut Knoll. When I asked if he meant Chestnut Knoll, he said, “YES.”

"Caring Staff and Improved Life at Chestnut Knoll"
My mom moved to Chestnut Knoll after my dad died because I couldn't take care of her in my home. The caregivers there became like family to both of us, and she got better with their help and the facility’s wheelchair-accessible features. She had a stroke and was in a wheelchair with one arm and one leg paralyzed. She lived there for 11 years and passed away this March. I’m so grateful to the workers who cared for her until the end, with help from hospice. She had many great days with the Chestnut Knoll family, who kept her active with activities, outings, entertainment, and spiritual support. I would recommend them to anyone!

"Nice Place, but Too Far for Us"
We visited this place and it seemed really nice. The people there were friendly and everything looked good. They offer both assisted living and memory care, which is what we were looking for because my mom isn't ready for a memory care place just yet. However, it's too far away for us to seriously consider as an option.

"Almost Our Pick, But a Bit Far"
They had these alert buttons—they looked like medical necklaces. If someone fell outside their room, the staff would know where they were. The elevator worried her, though. In the common area, there was a fridge with food available 24/7. Late-night snacks, sandwiches, and drinks. During our tour, they were friendly and gave us books about dementia. We were dealing with early stages.

"Great care and clean, but wish it was cheaper!"
We were really impressed with everything here. The staff are awesome, the place is super clean, and the food is tasty. One of our relatives who is a nurse said the care is excellent, and there are pricier places that don’t offer as good service. I don’t have any complaints except I wish it was cheaper, but that’s just how senior care goes.
