"Mom’s Care Improved After Facility Change"
I picked this place even though I had doubts because they said yes to taking my mom right away from a rehab in another state. In the first week, I saw that my mom needed more help than they thought, but the big check I gave them seemed to calm their worries. It took them on average 1 minute and 15 seconds to answer the help bell. There were some really great nursing assistants, but they were always short on staff. It doesn’t seem fair that the folks doing most of the caring

"Effective Care but Communication Needs Improvement"
My only frustration has been that it's hard to talk effectively with the staff who take care of my mom. They don't return calls or emails quickly, and I don't know who to talk to about concerns or share information with without feeling like I'm bothering them. I wish they assigned a specific person for families to contact, so I could be sure that everything important about my mom's care is being passed on to the right person. My sister and I have been feeling much better knowing that Mom isn't lonely anymore and that she's being well cared for. We also like that the place isn't too big, so everyone can get to know each other.

"DevonHouse Tour Impressions"
We had a nice tour at DevonHouse. I felt informed afterward. Their responsiveness was appreciated. We chose a closer, better fit for our loved one.

"Prompt and Personal Service"
Since it's a privately owned place, you often talk to the owner, which is nice. If you have a problem, you can call the front desk. By the time I call my mom to check on her, they're already in her room handling it. They are very quick to address requests.

"Great stay with easy process and reasonable cost"
Overall, my loved one's short stay was great. The staff made everything simple for us. I got to choose her room after talking with them, and they were able to set it up. I didn't have any problems at all. She didn't complain about the food, and she usually does. The price seemed pretty fair too.

"Convenient Location but Room Layout Didn't Suit Mom's Needs"
The office staff were really friendly! She took the time to learn about Mom and what our family wanted for her. It's great that residents can stay in one place as they get older and need more care. The building's design with just one floor makes it easy for everyone to find their way around and gather in the central area for activities and meals. However, the individual resident rooms are just one big space, which wasn't suitable for what Mom needed.

"Helpful and Clear Community with Effective Communication"
Our family member hasn't been there long, but so far the place has been upfront about costs, and everyone has been really helpful. The staff communicate well, and the nurses call us with updates about our loved one, who's getting the rehab he needs there.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Experience"
The people working there were nice to me. My family member had to go to the hospital because they fell. After they passed away, the place gave us clothes that didn’t belong to them. Sometimes, when we went to the doctor, my family member didn’t have their own clothes to wear. Some of their things got lost and we still haven’t got them back.

"Outstanding care, great food, fun activities, and impressed friend."
Devon House was outstanding, far better than previous places. Staff listened, provided excellent care, and the food was fresh and nutritious. They had fun activities and cookouts with families. My friend was impressed by the facility’s quality.
