"Assisted Living: Recommend with Some Reservations"
Our first time at an assisted living place. Wish there were more activities during the day. Still, we'd recommend it to other families.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living, grateful for respite care option."
My mom is used to being with me at home and feels embarrassed by her incontinence. She mentioned everyone being nice, but she preferred staying in her room and wanted to come back home. My overall experience was okay because I felt reassured that she was being taken care of while we were away. Regarding meals, she didn't like the food there because she's used to my cooking. But she's a picky eater, so it's not really the facility's fault. She only stayed for 4 days and didn't join any activities. We had to pay for 14 days even though she stayed only 4, but that's because they only offered 14-day respite care, which was helpful for us during my son's wedding.

"Cheerful and Convenient Assisted Living with Friendly Staff"
This assisted living facility is easy to reach. The staff are really nice. The place is bright, well decorated, and cheerful. It seems happier than the others I checked out. It's not perfect, but it's probably the best one around here that I can find.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short for Parkinson's Patient"
Make sure to ask questions. It didn't suit my mom. She has Parkinson's and isn't very social. They didn't handle her condition well. She needed more care. She ended up just staying in her room. But we didn't expect that.

"Clean rooms, friendly staff, good activities but pricey care"
The rooms and bathrooms are clean, but the carpets are stained in the rooms and hallways. There aren't many staff members around when I visit, but those who are there are very friendly and eager to help. They offer many great activities, and there's always something happening. They recently hired a new activities director who is a very nice person. The cost for room and board is reasonable, but the care is quite pricey. I think the level of care my loved one is getting is a bit more than needed.

"Clean, Nice Facility with Good Food and Room for Improvement"
We picked Elmcroft of Lewisburg because it looked like the best place and is clean and nice. The rooms are a good size. They could get better at talking with families, especially since we live far away. The food is really good and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I’d suggest this place to others who are looking.

""Outwardly Appealing Facility, Lackluster Management and Staffing Issues""
I wouldn't trust my pet to stay there. The hallways are bare now - gone are the furniture and the vending machines. It seems like the staff is shrinking, folks are quitting left and right. There's never enough help. The new boss is terrible, she strolls around with a clipboard and carries herself like she. Sure, the rooms might seem appealing - that's all the place has to offer.

"Poor Leadership Hurting Assisted Living Facility"
The staff is great, but the new director is clueless! This place is falling apart fast and needs new leadership ASAP!

"Great staff and care, but room sharing and food concerns"
The staff has been fantastic at keeping me informed about everything my loved one needs. They really go the extra mile. My only issue is that my loved one has to share a room, but the community is working on that. My loved one is unsure about the food, though there are healthy choices. They have activities, but my loved one doesn’t like to join in. Overall, I would recommend this place. Here’s a headline for the review:

"Understaffed, Unsanitary, and Inadequate Care: Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Experience"
This place always seems to be short of staff, which worries my family member. She's hesitant to ask for help because she doesn't want to bother them. Once, she waited over an hour for assistance after ringing the bell, thankfully avoiding a fall. When we questioned the nurses, they denied such delays, but when we tested it ourselves, it took them 48 minutes to respond. It's terrible! The cleanliness is also a concern. I had to clean and disinfect my family member's bathroom, and the garbage cans were always overflowing. They seem to hire inexperienced people off the street for important roles like MED TECH, and the nurses don't even handle medication. With only four staff members for the entire building, it's no wonder things are neglected. The towels and washcloths are stained and gross, adding to our dissatisfaction. All we ever hear is how understaffed they are. One nurse even admitted to doing aide work because they're short-staffed. As someone with experience in nursing homes, I can tell you this isn't acceptable. For the price we pay, the care simply isn't worth it. Don't be fooled by the fancy building.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Good Activities"
The place always smells nice, and it's pretty clean. The staff is friendly, and they have good activities. There have been a few small issues, but they've been quick to help. The food is okay so far, but it's still new for us.
