"Neglected and Overcharged: Dad's Disastrous Stay at Assisted Living"
This place rushes you into sealing the deal without clear explanation. When I relocated my dad here, they requested all his prescription medications, which I provided. His pills included a hefty supply of inhalers for his COPD and two unopened bottles of Tylenol arthritis eight-hour. They promised to mark them with his name and use these first, which turned out false. My dad fell and injured his head on his ninth night, around 11:30 PM, and was sent to the ER via ambulance, all by himself. I wasn't informed until the following morning via a voicemail on my work phone. So, my dementia-stricken dad was left alone in the ER, presumably unable to answer their questions accurately. Prior to his admission, my dad tested negative for both Covid and tuberculosis. Shockingly, nine days later when he fell and got admitted to the hospital, he was diagnosed with Covid, common pneumonia, dehydration, fever, and a UTI. He required IV antibiotics for two days in the hospital and he was then transferred to rehab for a month. The staff there are pleasant and approachable, yet we didn't get the value for our money. In his nine-day stay, my dad didn't receive a shower or shave, and he tumbled three times from being persistently left alone. They offer six tiers of care, each increasing by $500. They bumped my dad from tier one to two, charging us an extra $500 without clarifying what these levels encompass. They said they'd explain later, but they never did. We got a pharmacy bill of about $100. And, since my dad didn't go back post his fall, I asked to retrieve his medications. Their refusal to return them felt unfair.

"Great Facility, Not Ideal Location"
We toured this place early in 2017. It had everything we wanted back then, but the location wasn’t perfect.

"Friendly staff, clean facility, no major issues so far."
Elmcroft feels warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place is clean and well-maintained. We haven’t had any big problems or complaints so far.
