"Poor Staffing and Mismanagement at Heritage of Green Hills"

We were disappointed with The Heritage of Green Hills. If your family member is self-sufficient, it might be okay. The building is decent, but they are short on staff. The existing workers are wonderful, but they seem overworked. They misplaced our relative's laundry, even though it was labeled. Our relative had a high fall risk, yet they didn't implement fall prevention measures. They weren't flexible or collaborative when we offered suggestions. They claimed we could choose any pharmacy for medications, but forced us to use theirs.

"Nice Facility but Not Suitable for Loved One"

I visited this place and it looked good. It's new, tidy, and people are friendly. But it has different floors, which isn't right for my family member.

"Beautiful New Facility Lacks Sufficient Staff"

We chose this place because it was all shiny and new, but there just weren't enough people around to help out.

"Neglected Care: Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Basic Needs"

The food tastes good, but shifts lack communication and training. My husband, recommended for the dementia unit, couldn't use the bathroom alone. Despite my requests and signs, he suffered for days until an accident. Socks weren't changed for 8 days, leading to wet feet. Some disabled or blind residents lacked assistance with eating. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this dementia unit.

"Construction and COVID Rules Impact Community"

The place was still being built, and they had rules for the pandemic that could close everything.

"Friendly Assisted Living with On-Site Care"

It feels like a dorm-style place with a shared eating area. Good atmosphere for my loved one, and they've been accommodating. They're not highly skilled nurses, but they do have on-site staff.

"Comfortable and Convenient Assisted Living Choice"

We chose The Heritage primarily because we could move our loved one in right away, and it costs less compared to other places nearby. They're also constructing a new building where residents will soon move to. This means our loved one will get a bigger space, a larger bathroom, and more rooms that comply with ADA standards. The location is close to our family, which is convenient. Overall, based on our experience, we would recommend this community to others. Our loved one eats three meals daily without complaints, and the activities they offer seem enjoyable based on what our loved one has participated in and the activities calendar we've seen.

"Heritage Staff Accused of Unauthorized Entry and Theft"

At Heritage, someone dies and executors are made to get a special certificate before they can take stuff out. It's not enough just to show you're the executor and there's a will. Getting this certificate can take a few days. For us, even though they promised that no one from Heritage would go into our mom's place, someone did. It was pretty clear that some people had been in there when we finally got to go in. Not only that, but some expensive stuff was gone. If someone you care about passes away at the Heritage, I'd say buy some tamper-proof tape and seal up the door until they let you in.

"Mixed Experience with Outdated Facilities, Promising Future Ahead"

The staff at this place are amazing. They are really good at their jobs, super nice, patient, and they really care. Right now, the buildings they have are really old-fashioned, but they are going to finish a new one in a few months, so that's less of a worry. When you're looking for a place for someone you care about, it just depends on what they need and how much help they need and how much they want to do things. My loved one started in the living part and moved to memory care a little while ago, so I don't have much experience with the memory care part yet. But we've had a really good time with the living part. Once they move to their new buildings, it's a place you should definitely look at. And since that's happening soon, I would go look at them now. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are very old-fashioned and feel a little like being in an institution. And the place now might not feel as friendly as some other places might. Because they're about to open a new building, they're not spending as much on the old building. But that's a short-term problem that will be fixed when the new building opens this summer. The only other thing I can say is the food is a bit hit or miss. Some things are great, and some things are not so great. For the not-so-great ones, dinners are sometimes just things like baloney sandwiches, but breakfast is really good when it's good.

"A Great Place to Live and Enjoy Life"

Moving to The Heritage 11 years ago was a smart choice. The apartment is spacious, the food is tasty, there are lots of activities, the staff is kind, and the residents are nice. What more could you want?
