"Friendly Staff and Good Service, Visit to Decide"
The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. It's easy to get in touch with them whenever you need. I think this place is good and would suggest it to others, but I still recommend visiting in person to be sure.

"Assisted Living Delight"
The lady at the front desk is fantastic! The people who manage things are okay but sometimes take a while to respond. The staff issue is like any other job in the country. Many aides are Personal Care Assistants and not CNAs, so maybe the job wasn't what they expected. But overall, I'm really happy that your company told me about this place because hardly anyone knew it was here. Plus, my loved one is doing great, and that's all I could ask for.

"Care Falls Short at Assisted Living Facility"
My family chose this place thinking they'd give good care. They seemed caring at first, but it wasn't good for my loved one. If someone needs a lot of help (like a level 5), this isn't the right spot.

"Mixed Feelings About Viva Senior Living"
I think Viva Senior Living is a good choice overall. It's worth the money. I wish the doctors and physician assistants were a bit more attentive and understanding.

"Neglectful Care at Viva Leads to Hospital Stay"
I definitely wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. They completely failed to take care of my mom's everyday needs and pretty much just left her all alone in her room. As a result, she was extremely malnourished and dehydrated. We had to take her out of there. Because of this, mom had to stay in the hospital for 5 days after she left Viva. What an awful experience.

"Good place but needs more staff for better care"
I gave it 4 stars overall because there aren't enough staff members, and it's affecting the care quality. The place is clean and the workers are friendly. The rooms are really nice too. They offer lots of activities, but she hasn't joined any yet. I would suggest Viva Senior Living at Harrisburg.

"Good place, but no secured dementia area"
The assisted living facility is really nice and has great staff who are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is good. They have lots of fun activities and events for the residents to enjoy. The only downside is that they do not have a secured area for people with dementia. Other than that, it's a great place for seniors to live.

"Tough Choice, Worth a Tour"
We really liked this place. The staff answered all our questions and took their time showing us around. The rooms were nice, and there were lots of amenities for the residents. It was a tough choice between this and another place, but I would definitely recommend scheduling a tour to see for yourself.

I really like this place because they provide great care. The community is clean and well-kept. The food menu is good, with lots of choices. There are activities for her, though she isn't active yet. I hope she will join in eventually. We recommend this community for its care and value for a loved one.

"Great Community, Just Too Small for Us"
This community was very nice. The people were helpful and pleasant with us. The community was clean and didn't have any bad smells. We just wanted a bigger place for dad, and this one was too small.

"Bigger Assisted Living Facility Might Overwhelm"
My visit to this place was pretty okay. Everything I saw looked neat and tidy. It's much bigger than other places like these. I thought it might be a bit too much for my mother and father-in-law. The people who work there seem nice and warm. They seemed ready to take care of them well.

"Friendly Staff and Fun Activities!"
I think my mom is doing pretty good at Greenfield Senior Living. She gets along well with the other residents, and we really like the activities they offer because she is more active now. The activities guy is great at getting her involved. The staff are friendly and take good care of the residents. They also keep me updated on my mom's care. I haven't tried the food yet, but my mom hasn't complained about it. Just make sure you speak up if you see any problems.

"Great Care at Surprisingly Affordable Assisted Living Facility"
My husband and I were worried that Greenfield's low cost might mean not-so-good care and living spaces. But we were pleasantly surprised! The staff was kind, the place was clean and cozy, and getting in was easy. The Marketing Coordinator was super helpful, making the process smooth. Our family member got in within just 3 or 4 days. They checked on our family member's health and medicines on the first day. They quickly set up appointments with doctors and returned our calls fast. So far, our family member is happy and well taken care of. But it's still too early to judge everything about the nursing and assisted care.

"Appalling Neglect at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom's brief stay at this assisted living facility was far from satisfactory. She had two falls there. After her second fall, they left her on her cold, lonely room floor while one worker alerted the ambulance and another was attending to the other residents. In her vulnerable state, my mom was neglected, scared, and hurting as she waited for the EMTs - a staff member could have at least been with her. I just thank the heavens she didn't faint. I won't endorse this facility. Their emergency protocol is only pull chains in the rooms and bathrooms, but they should have safety alarms or life alert devices on all residents. My mom had to pull on her chain so forcibly that she toppled over. On another occasion, she couldn't reach the chain and had to yell for staff. They also serve fresh fruit less often than they should. I'm of the opinion that they provide only the basic, necessary services to residents.

"Greenfield is perfect for my mother’s needs and happiness"
My mom moved in here about two weeks ago. I was really worried that she might need more care than they could give, but they’re doing an amazing job, and she loves it there. They’re providing everything they promised. She says the food is great even though she doesn’t eat much anymore, and she even played Bingo yesterday, which I don’t remember her ever doing before. Everyone is really friendly. Not just the staff, but even the other residents made her feel welcome. On her first day, a bunch of residents were in the Activity Room, and as she walked by, they greeted her and said, You’re going to love it here... this place is great! That made me feel so good to know the residents were happy about where my mom would be living. At first, we had some issues because her doctor had written her pain medicine prescriptions for PRN, meaning she would only get her pain meds when she asked for them. My mom wasn’t used to doing that, so she was having some pain problems. But I had her doctor change the prescriptions so she gets her pain medicine four times a day, and that seems to have really helped. They have a lot of activities every day, even on weekends. I know some other places don’t have activities on weekends, and the people I know who live there get really bored. Greenfield keeps up with activities on weekends and has church on Sunday afternoons, which my mom is thrilled to attend again. She couldn’t get to church when she was at home the last few months, and she really missed it. My mom loves her room because it’s a great size much bigger than other places I checked out and has TWO six-foot-long closets she really loves that! She had lived with my husband and me for 8 years, and it was really hard for me to accept that she needed to move. At our home, she had to use a walker to get around places where her wheelchair couldn’t go, and my bathroom was very difficult for her. In the end, it just got too hard for her to use the walker. At Greenfield, she gets around easily in her wheelchair, her bathroom is very wheelchair-friendly, and she has much less pain because of that. It was a tough decision to make, but I truly believe that God led us to the right place for my mom and worked out all the details.

"Still Assessing Mom's New Home"
We are still deciding about this place. My Mom doesn't like it, but she might not be fair. The place is still new to us. The staff is nice and it's clean, but we are still checking things out.

"Friendly and Helpful Assisted Living"
They’re super friendly and helpful. If we ever have a problem, they really try to fix it. The food is sometimes good, sometimes not. The activities are great. The only thing they could improve is staff communication. Sometimes it feels like they don’t know what each other is doing. Overall, it’s a really good place.

"Veterans Content, But Facility Needs Upgrading"
People seemed content, but the aged building was merely adequate. It lacked a personalized touch and room offerings were limited, with multiple occupants in small spaces. Most of the residents were male veterans. The facility is VA approved.
