Don't bring your family to Heritage Hill. The people in charge pretend to care about the individuals staying there, but it's all fake. They lied to me and my folks, saying the doctor wanted my dad to get psychological tests at the hospital and they needed us to okay it. The truth was they wanted to kick my dad out because of something their doctor said happened but they never told us about. They made him have pointless medical tests and didn't even get him a mental health exam. There was nothing wrong, then the hospital told us Heritage Hill didn't want my dad back. We were so surprised. We had no clue what was going on. They lied just to get rid of him and didn't have the guts to tell us. He hadn't had other problems before, so we were shocked. Their doctor, [name removed], put my father on a list so that no other care homes would accept him. He ended up in a crummy one where he was for the last bit of his life, causing no problems, even as his dementia got worse. Heritage Hill was not as it appeared. How they handled our situation was seriously wrong and really hurt my dad and my healthy mom. I wish A Place for Mom had never told us about Heritage Hill. It was the worst thing that's ever happened to us.
