"Too Crowded and Smelly"
The tour of Oak Leaf Manor North was okay. We noticed it was very crowded and smelled bad. Those were the main reasons we didn't choose it.

"Disappointing Experience at Oak Leaf Manor Assisted Living Facility"
This place was only okay. They didn't have enough staff, so my mom was ignored most of the time. The people working there didn't talk to me much either. They were good at keeping it clean, though. One nurse was nice. But the rest didn't pay attention to the residents unless they were bringing food. The care wasn't as good as I hoped. I needed a place for my mom quickly, so I had to choose this one, but I wouldn't keep her there long-term. The food was okay, and the events once a week were okay too, but they didn't have much for the residents to do daily. It cost a lot, but I didn't see the value in what we got. A Place for Mom helped me find it, but I was really disappointed.

"Inconsistent Communication but Caring Atmosphere at Assisted Living Facility"
Our experience with our loved one has been positive overall. However, it's important to keep in touch with the staff regularly. Communication between the staff and our family has not been very effective. Recently, the community changed administrators without informing the families. The care provided is satisfactory, though there is room for improvement. Nevertheless, my loved one appears well cared for and remains cheerful. Residents have various activities to enjoy such as movie nights, music, bingo, and games. The community encourages participation by gathering residents in common areas to watch these activities. The food options are diverse and the dietary choices are adequate.

"Underwhelming Service Despite Affordability at Assisted Living Facility"
The workers were nice and it wasn't too pricey, but it felt like we weren't really getting much in return. We don't think our family member got the care she deserved. We get that covid complicated things, but it just didn't meet the promises they made.

"Stylish Facility With Poor Care and Communication Problems"
A resident with dementia wandered off from the place and was missing for hours, but they didn't tell the family right away. They neglected to give another resident a pedicure for so long that they couldn't walk anymore. Instead of fixing the problem, they just labeled them as someone who can't walk. Then a caregiver got sick with Covid and spread it to some of the residents and still, no one informed the families. One resident had a fever for multiple days in the middle of the pandemic, and they didn't even test for Covid or tell their family. When we asked about any of these problems, all they did was stop answering our calls. Despite their nice-looking facility and friendly attitude, it's clear that hiding their screw-ups and avoiding responsibility is more important to them than taking care of the residents.

"Clean and Caring Assisted Living with Roomy Dementia Units"
We chose Oak Leaf Manor because it was the only place that smelled nice and refreshing when I arrived. Other places I visited had a bad smell of urine. This facility is very clean. The room sizes are quite good, I think. My loved one was in the dementia unit and didn't have to share a room with anyone, which I really liked. Whenever I called, especially during COVID when I couldn't visit, they were always responsive. I can't say enough good things about this place—the staff members were very caring with the residents. I will say that some of the younger staff might need more education on how to handle residents. Overall, my experience here was very good.

"Assisted Living Facility Impresses with Cleanliness and Appealing Amenities"
The place is stunningly clean, bright, and well-decorated. I'm rating it 4 stars because I didn't try the food, but it looks promising with great daily options.

"Great staff, spacious rooms, and enjoyable activities for residents"
I am really happy with my mom’s move here. She loves her spacious shared room. Even though Mom needs surgery, the staff has been very attentive and caring. She enjoys going to the dining room, meeting other residents, and likes the food. There are many activities available for residents. I highly recommend visiting this community for a tour.
