"Mixed Experience with Paramount Assisted Living"
I was told during my first visit that turnover among caregivers is rare and that's why I chose Paramount. However, in the three months since my mom moved in, I've noticed they sometimes don't have enough staff. They offer a bus service to take residents to doctor appointments three days a week for $35. There's also a hair salon onsite, as well as an internal hospice and physical therapy/occupational therapy services that really helped my mom regain her mobility.

"Great place with fun activities and responsive staff, but pricey"
We like the place, but it's a bit expensive. My father-in-law enjoys playing Bingo and the guest parties they hold. We also appreciate that the staff and medical team are very quick to respond. The rooms are a nice size, too.

"Nice tour, but facility feels outdated"
We had a good tour at Paramount Senior Living, but the place seemed a bit old-fashioned.

"Impressions of Memory Care Wing: Clean but Prison-Like Environment"
I'm not sure about the rest of the facility, but the area for residents with memory problems was awful. It's a locked wing on the 2nd floor. Anyone not in their room was slumped in wheelchairs near the nurse's desk. There was no place to walk or do anything. Some rooms opened to a patio or balcony, but hardly any outdoor space. It felt like a prison. I wouldn't dream of putting someone I care about there. Though, the actual room is nice and the main entrance is clean and inviting. Still, we couldn't possibly put our loved one in a place like this.

"Inadequate Care and Response at Assisted Living Facility"
Don't let the fancy building and persuasive sales pitch trick you. The nurses are either overworked or they just don't care, and it leads to terrible service. Normally, it took them 15 to 30 minutes to answer the call button, even in the high-need zone. Loads of other problems happened, like her falling while they were moving her to bed, leaving her alone in the bathroom for too long, and not giving her a bath for almost a week. All of this happened in just three weeks. I wrote a letter to the top boss telling him about the problems at the facility, but I never got a reply. If you want the best care for your loved one, look for a different place.

" Inappropriate Transfers and High Staff Turnover Earns Home One Star"
I enjoyed this home for my mom until she began running low on funds, then everything spiraled. Long story short, they shifted my mother to a location that had known Covid cases- for what? I think it was to alleviate their burden of making referrals to other spots (during a COVID situation this is tough, particularity when most locations weren't issued the required referral packet). Yes, we were frantically searching for a suitable place, but we were rushed. PSL forwarded a referral packet to a place we didn't pick, causing us to engage in conversation with this facility to see if they'd take her, given the COVID induced difficulty. We were continuously looking into other places and sending out PSL's referral packet ourselves, with three places under consideration. And then, they moved mom, with neither oral nor written approval, into a site that had a recent outbreak of COVID (a total of 109 residents and 40 workers since July)! They even mistakingly sent her personal details to the incorrect email. I've also learned that employee turnover is high at this place. For these reasons, I can only rate this spot with a single star.

"Spacious rooms and engaging activities at Paramount Senior Living"
We picked this place because my dad knew the staff and had stayed in the rooms. The rooms are big and nice. The food options are good, but they don't have a lot of choices for special diets. The best part is the activities coordinator—she really gets to know everyone and keeps them involved. I would suggest Paramount Senior Living of Peter's Township.
