Parkside North East

"Assisted living facility needs improvement; good staff but issues persist."
My mom's had stuff stolen at Parkside North East, and there's nowhere secure to keep things. The food's often too salty or hard to chew, and rides to the doctor get messed up sometimes. They do a good job with laundry, trash, and cleaning. Shower help is okay, but they got onto my mom for not knowing a fire drill she was never taught. The nurses and med techs are nice though.

"Consider Other Options Before Deciding"
There are many places like this one in our area. Before you pick, look at a few different ones. Some are pricier than others, but they all offer pretty much the same things.

"Convenient Location with Good Staff, but Pricey"
I think it's a nice place, but it's expensive. We chose this community because it's close by. The staff have been good at interacting and communicating with us.

"Poor Care and Lack of Attention at Assisted Living Facility"
My dad passed away after 2 months here. I was lucky I could visit and see his care. They didn't use his hearing aids or dentures. The nurse said they couldn't help, but they could. His floor wasn't cleaned for over a week once. He didn't go to the dining room enough, even though he should have. They didn't watch what or how much he ate. He fell multiple times. He didn't get much attention. We were very disappointed with his care here and wouldn't recommend it.

"Disappointed Resident Suggests More Affordable, Bigger Senior Apartments"
These apartments are really small, with just one room and two closets- one for everything and another for linens. The rent should be cheaper. Plus, you have to pay for all the electricity. It is nice that it's close to many stores and public transportation. The people who live here are so nice- they hang out a lot and even have meetings to discuss what's important to them. But, the company should remember that people with disabilities and seniors living here don't have a lot of money, so they should think about how much they're charging them.

"Clean, caring staff with good food and activities"
The community is always clean. The staff is great and meets all my sister's needs. The grounds are tidy and well-kept. She enjoys the food and variety. Sometimes, she joins in the activities available. We highly recommend this place for excellent care.

"Great place, mom is happy and active!"
We visited Parkside at North East and liked it a lot. My mom moved there in August 2013, and she’s very happy living there. We don’t worry about her anymore like we used to. There are lots of activities she can join if she wants to.

""Nice Tour but Location and Rules Not Friendly for Parents""
We had a good time meeting the boss of the place; our walk-through was positive and the place looked great. Still, we don't believe it's the best match for my folks because it's too distant from their church and pals, and they enforce assigned seating for folks living there. We did believe the place was well taken care of; the food room is pretty nice, and the workers appeared kind.
